I do like the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and The Carpet Crawlers is a highlight.

Here's a few newer offerings:-

The Temples (sounds like 60s psychedelia). Jonny Marr and Noel Gallagher are fans (and me too).

Darwin Deez - first album was a bit patchy but the second album has been my most listened to of the last year.

Lastly, a recent offering by Jason Lytle (frontman of Grandaddy if anyone remembers them). Quirky but instantly listenable (if you're me that is).

Joe Cocker can lift ordinary songs to untold heights, of course having Jimmy Page on guitar always helps....

From the 80s, one of my favourite bands The Cult with Edie (Ciao Baby) from the brilliant 'Sonic Temple' album...

And from the same album 'Sweet Soul Sister'...

And there's more, Rainbow with 'Stargazer', truly a rock epic...

A favourite of mine since I heard them in a field in Belgium a few years ago. They get classed as post punk although I always think of the late 70s early 80s for that genre so perhaps they're something else?

This is an amateur video brilliantly edited to 'Hocus Pocus' by the Dutch band Focus. Some amateur videos look just that, but this is one of the best I've seen, the editing matches the music perfectly and this is one of the early 70s most avant-garde rock records...

Cheers Sooper, I love a bit of Focus.

If anyone on here is a prog fan and don't have any Gentle Giant in their collection then shame on you. I fully recomend having a listen to this when you get a chance, I'm sure you will enjoy.
