The whole joy of a forum is the witty puns and jokes that arise up through discussion.

I love reading on here to find out what's going to happen before anyone else does;
I knew that Adkins was strongly rumoured to be sacked due to a random rumour on here.
I knew that Lambert was going to Liverpool thanks to some ridiculous argument on here.
Same with Koeman. It's quality having a laugh about things as they happen. Threads like the blurry photos of Jay Rod when he signed won't be allowed under the new dictatorship surely?

Please, don't change the forum. There's no need for change, you'll make this place boring.

I'll disagree with you on that specifically

I think it is best to leave it as it is. People are always looking for discussions over the long quiet summer and censoring it is likely to lead to just as many posts arguing about what is acceptable and what is not, thus I urge you to keep it the same and leave it free and open.

I am thinking of setting up a Euro 2016 one too, perhaps in May?

If we'd employed the suggested policy earlier we'd never have had 'Saint Gastón!', nor left-handed Roberto and the nipple sweat man.

That thread was arguably the greatest moment in Southampton not606 history. It must be preserved.

I'm voting to keep the summer threads just as they've always been.

Seriously. Those threads are fun. Fun is good. We should be in favour of good things.

Back the DTLW/Good Things ticket in '16.

I have generally found posters on here to be considerably more credible than national newspapers. Thus, we should ban all rumours with links, and save only those that came from a guy who knows a guy.

Or a parrot? Remember the neighbours parrot?

Well I heard this rumour regarding Jim Magilton leaving Ipswich. I don't have a link, but it's so laughable maybe I should delete this later as an obvious wind-up.
Bad Channon! No biscuit!<laugh>

I spoke to the Ipswich Chairman.......he completely denied the rumour. He said I was trying to stir up trouble <laugh>

Just thought I'd bump this as there's just over a week to go before the poll closes. So if you haven't voted or wish to change your vote, having been persuaded by the erudition of one of our posters, you have until April 15 to do so.

Looking like a landslide at the moment...

Hope we do stick with the usual thread. It worked well last time when I mentioned the odds on Charlie Austin shortening, it created a lot of discussion and the Saint Charlie thread before it actually happened. None of which would have been possible if we waited for the journalists who didn't have a clue. <laugh>

The alteration was suggested because of some complaints. What the vote shows is that people who dislike something make the most noise.....after all you aren't going to suddenly mail a mod and say you love something, are you? So when the silent majority vote (as in the last election) you can be surprised by the result.

I love a free for all with randomness being discussed as gospel. Nothing wrong with some off piste jokes either...with the mods perhaps nudging people in the right direction if it gets violent. :)

Correct, as soon as a ITK on saints web confirmed his medical I posted the thread immediately, SSN and the red tops never got a sniff until it was all done.
