Time to start this thread again

Who would you like to see Rovers sign for next season. DC said he is looking at 10 /11 players in

Some players I would like to see come in

Joe Lumley
Ryan Sweeney
Josh Maggennis
Lyle Taylor
Cian Bolger

These would be some of my suggestions

Depending on how some of the sides in the playoffs do, I would be looking at some of these sides for potential recruits. The striker from Dover who's banged in 40 goals looks quite a lot like Matty Taylor, but he obviously gets a lot of goals. But I'm sure DC has been making a note of all sorts of people. Hope he brings in a decent permanent keeper though, or brings in a long term loan of someone like Lumley.

I think Lumley on a perm or a full season loan should be a must. But another keeper is needed too as both Mildenhall (offered coaching job) and Puddy (released) will no longer be available for playing roles at the club. So until Lumley comes back and thats an IF he comes back, we dont have a keeper at the club.

I feel Sweeney is a must if we can get him back.

2 strikers (3 if Harrison decides to go) is needed. I would prefer 2 of the new strikers to be 1st choice starters as Gaffney and Harrison shouldnt be starting games as dont score enough. I would also prefer Luke James NOT to rejoin us. A whole season on loan and failed to score a single goal. Sorry but I do not want him back.

Listening to one of DCs interviews CJS he said that he would be looking to bring in 2 / 3 strikers and that was with Harrison and Gaffney both staying so if either leave it could be 4 new strikers.
With Monty leaving then it leaves us short of quality on the left wing / midfield, nobody comes to mind as being outstanding in that position who wasn't with a club now promoted. any body think of a player who might fit the bill and also cover / stroke competition for Lee Brown
Who are Kelly and McCoulsky

Both are youngsters at City who are highly rated - I think McCoulsky could break into our Championship side next season

As bs3 gas pointed out, no chance of this happening. Plus, the last time we had a red on loan was Akinde who was shocking!
To be fair to Akinde he's gone on to have a decent career at Barnet - sometimes things just don't work out at a club

We could do a lot better too! I'm sure DC is aiming high for next season, so it's going to be interesting to see which ten new faces show up.
Maybe but you need young and hungry players not just "names"

I think that after the Taylor fiasco there is a gentlemens agreement of no signings between our clubs.
Don't think that would apply to loans which would suit both clubs?

Michael Smith would be a good signing was a good player for us and played well when Peterborough played at the Mem

Wonder why they released him? Agree that he would be a decent signing, but he's probably another one who's good going forward and not so great at stopping things at the other end.

Thats his level. League 2 or below. Every time he has been at a league 1 club, he has struggled big time. He has played league 1 for us and for Wycombe and was utter crap. But for Wycombe and Barnet in league 2, he has done very well. Also done well in non league. Thats why no one has wanted him at league 1 or above as he has shown he cant make that step up.
