Never scapegoated a player in my life and never will. I just call it how I see it, if a player plays poorly I will say.

I would never abuse them on the pitch and send them abuse online as that is being a dickhead.

I hope now Austin has gone Stephens can improve. I also wish Austin luck and hope he sorts his drinking out.

I understand. I'm not accusing you of scapegoating. But again, I have no idea whether Austin has a drinking problem or not. If he doesn't, that's a ****ty thing to say.

I have read enough posts from you over the years that I trust you that you wouldn't say such a thing without evidence. But in the end, you're just a guy on a football forum, so I honestly can't fault someone for not believing you either.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Just like.. yeah, it's okay if some people are going to think you're being ridiculously hard on Austin. Arguing about that stuff is just what happens on fan forums.

One CB from being fine for me.

Well yes, but that CB signing is a pretty big deal. One signing can be the difference between a good window and a ****ty one.

I think we had three things to do-- improve the attack, sign a CB, downsize the squad. We did 1 out of 3. We may have actually gone negative on the squad thing, because while we have time, we'll have to move some players out just to maintain the same size we did last year. 1 out of 3 bad. 2 out of 3 good.

So yeah, the difference can be kind of thin if you want to look at it that way. But I'm okay with that as well. Like, if I'm overly judgemental about this stuff, I think I'm also fair. If we have just signed a quality CB then indeed this window will indeed have gone from disappointing to good in my eyes.

If we're (not so seriously) speculating about the return of a former defender, it's about time that Arsenal loaned out Chambers again.

And all signings could turn out pants anyway!
