Yeah, Charlie is a bit of a 70’s throwback. Not hard to imagine him going out on the razz with Channon, Osgood, Charlie George etc.
Seen it with my own eyes. Seen both of them out in clubs loads, few times so drunk they can't stand. Once saw Stephens with a soaking wet shirt which smelt of beer, with Austin around him.
Told people about this on here for months, just did it in pm.
In this day and age of social media, I'm very surprised that these alleged antics haven't once found their way onto social media. Wouldn't be difficult to get a photo of someone in that kind of state.
Ralph doesn't want that at the club though. So they can go do it at another club.
Another football league club in Hampshire perhaps... (Eastleigh are not a football league club yet)
No photos, but Beef and others have witnessed things first hand and reported on various threads in the last 3 or 4 years.
Mmm... like I said, if any Saints player was behaving in an unprofessional manner on a regular basis, it would appear on social media.
I don't doubt that people have witnessed players out having a drink, and perhaps even looking the worse for wear. I've seen it myself back when I was a barman in Bedford Place and Oxford St for a couple years in the mid-noughties.
But I highly doubt that it is being done to the extent that it would seriously jeopardise a player's professional progress.
People just love to exaggerate, sensationalise, and especially be the bearer of scandalous revelations. I'm just sceptical whenever I hear/read this type of thing.

I used to hear David Prutton come stumbling home most weekends for a brief while back in '07. He was going out with my ex-girlfriend's housemate/bff at the time.
To be fair it was when he was hardly getting a game, and just before he got released.
Yes it’s well known Charlie likes a pint or 5 ....he still comes to Swindon a lot in fact he was out here only 2 weeks ago ........and I have only heard that Jack likes a pint ....but Charlie has said that he is a lad.

Ah.... that’s why he was always rooted to his line!!
I remember him purposely scuffing up the penalty spot each game at the Dell as a boy in the family stand and shouting AWAY a lot. Good times.
