Keegan left because of the stock floatation - The city wanted certainty on who and what they were floating. They demanded he sign a 5 year extension and he got pissed off with a jumped up lawyer demanding this rather than the board.

He got rid of the players because he wanted to stamp his own image on the team. Not be reminded of Keegans team. He wanted them to play his style of football not all out attack.

A company can not use chucky to float on the stock market.

If a company wanted to take chucky for infrastructure they would have to provide something called accounts - massive debts as you claim - no loan.

Dalglish spent £38m so had funds.

Keegan didn't get rid of the youth team he disbanded the reserve team.

Very informative

Do you remember the fans knocking Bruces cup runs arguing it was just because we played lower league sides?

Oh yes and it's just another example of the mental gymnastics that have been going on

Oh and when I wake up if one of you could please be kind enough to comment on whether Bruce deserved a little credit for the cun runs?

"It was because the people at the top of the club were preparing to float Newcastle on the stock market and, as a rift grew behind the scenes, it had started to feel as if we were no longer all on the same wavelength."

I'll tell you who and where this quote comes from once you wake up from the canvas. Let me just add - 4 months prior to him quitting we signed a canny player who scored a record number of goals for this club for a WORLD RECORD TRANSFER.

I'm just wondering whether people have finally realised the issue was always the players and that Bruce did well with them?

After tonight's chat I've taken everything in to consideration and concluded the answer to my original question was yes.

The club was skint and going a different direction, so I was right.

He did deserve credit for those, though it is also true that we didn't beat anyone of note in any of them - but you can only beat what is in front of you. He also deserved the blame for throwing it away against Brentford. He also deserves criticism for the state we are in this season. He did ok for two seasons, though he rode a bit of luck getting results with some dreadful performances. This season he was awful. The situation had become untenable, and yes some of that was from the fans and the abuse he got. Since Howe has come in we have seen improved performances but only slight improvements in results and consistency. Today was shocking. he dropped a real clanger today by not picking a striker no matter what level they are at (assuming one was available for selection).

Good morning bullshitters

I'm just wondering why the fans have stopped using win % as weapon?

Just because Howe's is only 11%

It's clear - the problem was never Bruce it was the players. You all thought you'd chace out yet another manager and thinks would improve, but the fact is you were wrong. Just admit it.
