Who bid.. where's the bid that lfc moved last summer to fend off with new contract. .. Oh wait we didn't. .. cos there was none!!!

No he was well behaved last season MITO, only players in the media doing the wrong things get monster transfer bids thrown at them.

Grealish must be looking at a world record transfer!

The difference between Scrotey Sterling and Classy Kane:

"I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs," Harry Kane said.

"I have seen there is interest but that's all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested."

Kane started for England as they lost 1-0 in their opening European Under-21 Championshipmatch against Portugal on Thursday.

He scored 31 goals for Spurs in all competitions during his breakthrough campaign last season, which ended in him being named as the PFA Young Player of Year.

Kane's impressive year has led to reports that 20-time English champions United are ready to offer up to £40m for him.

When asked if it would be hard to turn down one of the Premier League's "big clubs", Kane said: "Tottenham are one of the big clubs. That is the way people have to see it. I am at a big club."
----

Kane, a far better player and prospect but realising he needs to continue to focus and scoring and in a few years time make the move to united/madrid etc.

I hope City haven't called our bluff and come back to take Sterling off us for our ludicrous valuation of him

This.

I cannot believe that FSG haven't bitten City's hands off. £40m for potential? And the costliest British player ever.

Probably doesn't want to as he'll lose his loyalty bonus (Yeah I know, sounds funny).
If the players today want to play at moaning till they can leave without putting in transfer request, the only way clubs could take some of the power back is by making Loyalty bonuses a thing of the past.
Frankly in modern football its an antiquated notion, transfers are too frequent.

Probably doesn't want to as he'll lose his loyalty bonus (Yeah I know, sounds funny).

Well, despite everything that's actually happened, he is being loyal to the contract he signed. He's not said he wants to leave immediately or before the contract expires, he's said he won't sign a new one.

Obviously, its been said in that way because he doesn't want to lose said loyalty bonus and all and sundry can see he'd prefer to leave immediately though <laugh>

The contract he is on is ****ty.

Designing for city will prob give him in 3 months his entire loyalty bonus.

Doubt we are talking 2-3 Mil on a 35k a week contract here

If he wants his move he may be forced to doing it.
