Typical of the spoilt brat new age footballer.
£100k a week offer from the club who've made him a star and he's been supposedly "bullied"
Makes me sick tbh, I actually feel sorry for you over this one.
I know I've not been on lately.. but what the hell, hell frozen over..
Tobes, you OK fella
My point of view... think both us (the club) and Sterling (and is Agent) have played it out in the media too much..
So no one is in the right here, in my book..
But if the quotes of him "being bullied into signing a £100K a week" deal is true, then phuck me! The lad has a nerve!
Yes, he's played a whole host of positions but you need to be flexible! Suarez last year played right across the front 3... Milner on occasions plays 4 positions in one game!
The lad, when he was burnt out, we sent him on a holiday for two weeks mid season FFS...
We've played him more than we liked but his form last year and earlier this year made him undropable (along with the limited options we had).
He's a very good player with the "potential" to be something special...
But if he thinks he's going to get regular game time at the likes of Arsenal (The OX who I rate highly can't seem to hold down a regular spot...)
City will go big this summer, esp. if the FFP rules are relaxed, can't see him going or us selling him to United and Chelsea don't need him either, not if Jose was to play his preferred line up...
So, continue at Liverpool, earn over £100K a week (but how's the poor sole meant to live on that), play week in week out, develop into the player we hope you can be and if we (as a team) have don't sod all in a 2/3 years, then move, by that time, he'd have establised himself has one of best players in the league and be able to walk into any team here and maybe in Europe...
But, doubt most young'uns see the "big" picture, too many what the "get rich quick" option...
If he goes, then good luck to the lad, we'll move on, like we've done in the past and will do so again..
Just hope this time any "windfall" we get from the sale of Sterling is used on more established stars rather than players with potential!
