Mate you're all of the opinion that I'm seeing this as a negative thing. I absolutely don't, just pointing out it's not quite as rosy as people are making out. And it's of my own opinion that he's a cracking player and both happy and gutted to see him going. Won't miss him, mind.. Just think he's got talent.
He is a good player- and we are bitching a bit because he's been an arse, but he's not that good.
Even by today's incomprehensible standards that's far too much money for a player with potential. Yes, he's probably the best of the bunch when it comes to pacey players- but not to the extent that he's irreplaceable from the team's point of view-plus his shooting is woeful, and his attitude stinks.
It remains to be seen whether the latter improves at a club where he's winning more- provided they do, of course- but do we really want someone who is that fickle?

As for him wanting trophies, if he'd actually been able to hit a barn door with a cow's banjo then we just might have been in amongst them ourselves.

Well, around 40 million actually. We've got to take our cut

Well done on getting shot of the little kunt. He disgraced your historic club for long enough :emoticon-0148-yes:

will pay off a bit of your fine to the football league for failing fair play rules 2 years ago <whistle>

Plus agents fee and loyalty bonus so I would imagine the actual fee is around £35m <ok>

What agents fees? We don't pay any of that crap, all down to city to cover those costs and I'd imagine a transfer request will have been handed in on the sly once the bid was accepted

The player should have to pay agents fees, they ****ing employ the ****s!!!

Best bit of business i've seen by a rival team in a long time. An open letter to the Mirror by one of your fans (Jim) that can be accessed on Bbc football website to Sterling is well worth a read. Unfortunately i haven't got the I.T. skills to put up the link but someone should put it up here. I suppose the way football has gone, what Sterling and his agent have done shouldn't come as a surprise. P.S. Gary Mac joining your coaching staff is a shrewd move i.m.o.

Yeah, I have since been informed the buying club pays that <ok>

I imagine lots of stuff, football rarely features though :bandit:

Thats what supporting United will do to you.

What at do you make on the fee your paying for Bastian... Nearly £15m for an injury prone 30 year old <yikes>

Hargreaves mk II

Since when did we spend our 'windfalls' wisely? Torres £50m down the drain with Carroll. Suarez £75m squandered by buying lovren, Lallana, balotelli and others. Sterling's £40m...?

Anyone got any belief that Rodgers will suddenly become a good manager and a good judge of talent ?

Our club needs to watch the pennies I.e the budget is dependent on how much we get for selling our best players. The mancs needed the German who I think will improve their team...he was worth may be £5m but for them money seems to be no object <doh>

The original quote was £15m anyway and I was happy with that, feel a bit flat now though after being told it was £5.75m

Funny you should mention Torres/Carroll, I see you are in need of a new striker. If you want to put in a bid of £35M for an up and coming Frenchman, a certain Emmanuel Rivierre, you might just get lucky again.
