Almost gone isn't the same as actually gone though is it? We need the Council and Allams to be working as a team not against each other if we are to establish the club in the Premier League. There has to be some sort of truce, get them all round a table and work out the best way to take our club and the City forward TOGETHER.
Can't believe one dumbfuck councillor from OPE can stand in the way of a millionaire investing in the stadium just because of hull Fair but just saying Geraghty aint gonna be there forever.
I would think someone like Alan Johnson MP could do a useful brokering role in this. 'Look Terry, a one week a year Fair which sucks money out of the city and which triggers a spike in morbid obesity cannot possibly trump a 52 week sports excellence centre which attracts and promotes sporting prowess and well being, unless you are a moribund brain-dead **** of the highest order."
] Stretching a point almost to breaking to say it was a ruling group decision though. It was a few Councillors such as Trevor Larsen that worked bloody hard despite the efforts of their comrades.
It will not be Melton, at a guess I say it will be HKRs ground. He will probably come to some deal and move KR to the KC
How many supporters currently walk to the ground via the pub.A I've to Melton or a move would decimate the loyal fanbase.Any move would be suicide.
Craven Park isn't up to standard, it'd require planning permission to get there, the council grants planning permission, granting planning permission to improve Craven Park would make the KC a long lasting symbol of incompetence due to it's underuse. If there's a move due to not being able to deal with the Council it'll surely be to somewhere outside of HCC boundaries as close to the M62/A63 road access and a train station serviced by the Doncaster and York to Hull line (the station itself wouldn't need to be heavily used at the minute, it could soon be added onto services passing through).
Change is NEVER good in Hull. The people dont like to be pushed out of their comfort zone. To say the town is very conservative and very oppressive is an understatement.
it will be easier to convert a ground than to build a completely new stadium in the middle of nowhere.
why not? West Hull is full of Kosovans.. it isnt like they attend. at least East Hull contains enough people that actually care about the club.
All things being equal yes, but all things aren't equal. Hull City Council vs East Riding Council. One eager to get the development, one eager to tie it up in red tape to delay it as long as possible so they haven't got a white elephant on their hands.
