Isn't it funny how an article on Amber Nectar suggests that anyone who thinks we should move to Melton is "an idiot" may I suggest that for the club to progress past the Championship we cannot afford to hang around in a rented stadium. Perhaps a better site could be found that's not Melton. Suggestions welcome! You can't run a club without a financial loss in a small stadium unless we get players in that are not premier level. We need more seats, for more fans. Everyone knows how many glory boys and girls will come out of the woodwork once were promoted, we may not all like it but they pay there money and we can accommodate them in a new stadium stadium and hopefully stay where we want to be! So Amber Nectar may I suggest you are the idiot for being so blinkered and concerned that heaven forbid the stadium is and team are to move about 8 miles away! Oh No!! i've travelled to every home game for the last 19 years and id still be going if they had built the KC 8 miles further away from where it is and where I live now! So what's the issue? It's not like Mr Allam wants to move us to Milton Keyans!

If we did move I'd level the rest of orchard park and stick it there. All schultzs facilities needed were upgrading, coopers gone now. Best place I can think of apart from where it is now.

Of course it wasn't, it was the time to get maximum exposure. Mr Allam is an excellent business man and used to dealing with idiots. He's rightly identified he can't deal with our useless ****ing council around a table, so he needs to exert some pressure through their constituents.

The problem for me is the reason behind us wanting the KC in the first place was due to the problems we suffered in the Premier League. Adam Pearson said at the time we wouldn't have gone into administration it would of been liquidation as we had no physical assets to our name. That for me is the main reason why we need the KC as currently we are worthless as a club. I wouldn't want to move to Melton, but if the Allams are serious why not build us a centre of excellence and training ground their as we need both of them anyway as our facilities are shocking and that way he would look serious to the council, and even if we get the KC we have a great training set up and a brilliant youth set up there to, win win.
I was talking to lord prescott last week he favored a move to east park.lovely surroundings better class of area leading to a better image of the city from visitors.many pubs around the area plus he only lives in sutton so could attend most games.a 30000 capacity stadium would be fine if we could stay in the premiership if not we would be half empty every home game like wigan.
I know it probably now not feasable, but where the Cod farm used to be would have been the ideal place. It is the right side of town for away fans to get there, and not so different from where the KC is now for people from the East side to get to the ground.

Our MPs may be having a quiet word with the HCC and telling them not be such inflexible negative ****s, and to find a solution.

The reason the KC is in such a good place is that it's central to the local transport hub, ideally placed close to the interchange and close enough to all the city centre car parks. So accessible by car, bus or train.
For example, say someone was going from Bilton... they can currently hop on a bus knowing it would take them to the centre. If there was a stadium built at Melton, there wouldn't be a bus you could hop on direct to Melton from Bilton.
Not to mention the KC is close to all the bars and hotels to capitalise on 'Premier League tourists' if we get promoted.

Agree mr Allam is exploring all avenues, trouble is one, that was 9 months ago. Shows what auseless twat milliband is and two geraghty would dig his heels in even more. It would be feeding him oxygen opposing the MAN!
i ve posted elsewhere that i think the Melton stadium project is more than a concept with much of the funding possibly in place. 1) Tesco recently dropped their planning for a big store at the Elloughton A63 turn off. Melton would possibly suffice. 2) The East Riding Council are of a completely opposite political persuasion to the dinosaurs at Guildhall and would possibly be committed to making it happen. They are also not as reliant for political success on a relative few votes on estates in East Hull. 3) Possible 'safe-standing' funding. 4) Possible Sport England funding. 5) Possible Premier League bank rolling through promotion. 6) Banatines or similar as synegistic partners. 7) The Allams themselves and the fact that their market dominant generator empire cannot ast as a cash stream forever, therefore other potential cash streams will be required from investment.
Personally, Melton would be a positive for me, but I doubt we will see anything on this till at least 2017, possibly 2018, but who knows where I ll be by then?

Melton's a bluff, but as things stagnate Allam is quite right to continue to use it in the media as a reminder of the councils ineptitude, City need to remain at the KC but it is important to get a joint development plan together for the stadium and agreed by all players. Part of attracting Premier League players for next season will be selling them the clubs future plans, stadium extension and academy etc, the Hull City vision, this Terry Geraghty idiot needs to be brushed aside, he retires in 2014 from the council, he's almost gone.
