Second time in a month too (although I think everyone in UK got it just after Christmas )

nope we didn't have any over xmas.

Yeaterday was was the only fluffy we've had down on te Coast and even that was only an inch at most.

Its been snowing all day today but the occasionally rain as been mixed in too, means the ground is just a slushy mess

Had snow round here for the last few days, people driving like there's 3ft drifts when there's 2 inches of the stuff <doh>

Had that on my way to work. Usually takes ten minutes maximum as its only 2.6miles, took me almost forty miutes this morning because a lorry got stuck <doh>

Spare a thought for me, as my commute is 50 miles ffs, half of which is on country roads, a dusting of the stuff and it takes me 2 hrs <doh>

mine is similar so I have the luxury of choosing to work from home... which mean do nothing all day.

however i rememebr two years in particular.

about 10 years ago i go so bored behind a clown doing 15mph I passed him and found actually following a car in a blizzard is a lot easier than driving in one.

then a couple years back when it was around for a long while the roads were down to like one set of tire tracks and some clown would decided 20mph was fine and there'd be a 10 mile queue behind him and it took 2.5hours to go.

however... the Us last yeat was the worst... 30mph winds and 8 feet of snow mean total white out any place the road had a bit of a lack of shelter so it was SHIIIIIITS!!!!!

plus some asshole drove a rental form miami to where i was in new yourk and left it there so the car was not shall we say suited to the climate.

Miami to NY, that's some road trip! Especially when you can fly it for the price of a decent lunch <laugh>

I have no freaking idea but that car had miami plates and tyres that wouldn't grip a dry road let alone ice.

they might have moved it up as a company i guess but it was sliding everywhere every time you put your foot on the accelerator or brake and the automatic gearbox means it's just spin up. plus rear wheel drive i think.
