He's been suffering from dementia for a few years & is now non compos mentis unfortunately.

Even more unfortunate, is that his family are fighting over the control of his estate before he's even passed.

Blimey, leeches. If true they should be making his last few months/years as comfortable as possible

Christ.
As they say, you can choose your friends........

...**** me sideways.
They probably had Mcfly as their wedding march as well.

FFS <doh> what is happening to this country?

They should be forcibly neutered before they breed half a dozen pizza boy delivery jnr's.

Poor guy. Thought he'd just retired, didn't realise things were that bad.

**** knows how to do that. I'd need you at the end of a phone giving me step-by-step destructions. I will be using it mainly for browsing the internet (german granny fisting etc), emails, streaming footie and cricket etc and writing the odd word document, which my MD says can be accommodated on a tablet. I obviously won't be using it for excel or anything like that. Powerpoint sometimes. Boss says there's a free application (****ing hate 'app') called Polaris Office which is pretty good.

Don't listen to your boss these free office suits are ok but useless if you want to print off another machine and typing is hard work on a tablet. Stick to a laptop it's the better option you'll just have to pay more.

Or get the surface two as it has the tablet power but if you need to type, comes with the keyboard.

Was going to say with a tablet you could buy a separate keyboard for not much and plug it in if you need to type properly on it.

Talking technology, I need to buy a new TV at some point. So many different types and choices is ****ing unreal <yikes>

Got some vouchers from work that amount to £130 to put towards it as well.

We have an lg one 4 yrs old and the senso for remotes has gone it

Cant switch the free sat remote to control it as the sensor in the tv has gone

If you press the remote buttons and look through a digital camera you can see a blue light working so thats how you know its the sensor and not the remote unfortuantely

Anyway, im just saying as I wouldnt expect the ****ing sensor in a new tv to break so quickly

My one at the moment is only 19" so think will get at least 32"

I have a 32 in my room and 50 in the living room. Depends on distance from TV and clarity and all that but I would go with something a bit bigger, especially if you like the gaming stuff too.

It's for my room which isn't huge so would need to find someone to put it. 32 would be the minimum I think, just depends on price if was to go any higher though.

Basic principle; its got the be bigger than.your bed!

I have to laugh when I see people watching these enormous screens in tiny living rooms, sat about 4 foot from a 50" LED getting their retinas burnt by a screen emitting a level of brightness similar to the sun.

Tablets are like inflated android phones. I have one but never use it, I prefer the phone or PC.

Do they still make desktop PC's <yikes>

I just ordered a custom built one on the weekend. I knew nothing about the latest specs but after a bit of research I got a Intel i7 processor with a GTX 770 4gb graphics card. My xmas present to myself and it will be a lot better than the new PS/Xbox. <ok>

Still hasn't arrived yet though.
