The big difference is price. You can pick up a Samsung Tablet for around £100 and it's good. A laptop and you're talking £350 minimum. One of the good things with tablets now is that you can send the screen to your tv and the tablet then acts as a remote and mouse, so you can have big screen for watching media or just browsing.
**** knows how to do that. I'd need you at the end of a phone giving me step-by-step destructions. I will be using it mainly for browsing the internet (german granny fisting etc), emails, streaming footie and cricket etc and writing the odd word document, which my MD says can be accommodated on a tablet. I obviously won't be using it for excel or anything like that. Powerpoint sometimes. Boss says there's a free application (****ing hate 'app') called Polaris Office which is pretty good.
