Is a transfer embargo that big a deal?
You can't afford anyone anyway
If you can't spend you can at least pay your debts
Average bear has a very short term view of this

Transfer embargo - who the **** were we going to buy anyway? Does anybody seriously think (should we survive) that we'll have the cash to happily go shopping in the transfer window(s). Aye, Murray/Kennedy/TBK are gonny arrive with wads of cash and it'll be business as usual in the SPL. Oh no! The transfer embargo has ****ed us!
They should be marching to ****ing Ibrox not hampden
and marching to Murray's offices ...
by Whyte! Conned, he jumped at the chance to bin Rangers! That's what I've been saying. I don't understand (perhaps am fick) what all the hubbub is about. Association rules were broken. The punishment was handed down.
£160k - to a club that's millions debt - means **** all.

exactly a 12 month ban (2 windows) is **** all to us. We can't buy anyone anyway. The very least of our worries if you ask me. All these daft ****s organising protests don't know who to blame. They should be marching to ****ing Ibrox not hampden

). We shat our own nest. Take the lumps regardless of how hard they are to take.
Of course a transfer embargo affects us. To get the club back on an even keel, the new owner would want to sell the players who can command a decent transfer fee and those on high wages, and replace them with experienced but cheaper options. Now he'll have to sell the players and replace them with under-18s. As things stand, it looks like we'll be fielding a team of 17 year olds next season and will pretty definitely be relegated.
Once the current squad are sold off on the cheap in the summer we can't even bring in free signings to replace them. Before this nobody with any sense believed that the squad was going to be strengthened in the summer, just that there would be enough players at a reasonable level of ability and experience to avoid relegation.
Also to generate revenue, there have long been plans to bring in players to sell on for a future profit. This is likely part of the business model proposed by the bidders so it completely ****s that up too.

Fair points. But I really don't see where the cash to buy is coming from. My understanding (and I may be wrong) is that if we liquidate/newco (which is looking a whole lot more likely than CVA) then the players become free agents (or can apply to UEFA/FIFA to be free agents) and aren't ours to sell.
Maybe you don't understand that an embargo means **** all if you are liquidated
If you somehow survive and win the EBT then being stopped from buying players and instead have money to pay your debts would be the dignified thing to do
You can't afford new players now
You can't afford the players you have
How does an embargo kill your club?
Play your kids
Save a years transfer budget
Much like a lot of Scottish clubs
