Go on You know you want to say it **** the sfa, **** the sfa, **** the sfa I'll make Timmys of you yet
In my opinion, Rangers have always had a rough deal from the SFA. Whether it was them using TV evidence to punish Graeme Souness for standing in the Tunnel when he was banned from the touchline, when they said that they would never use TV evidence, whether it was the SFA's hanging out to dry of Drunken Duncan for the stookie on Jock McStay, so on and so forth. FTALL
Is a transfer embargo that big a deal? You can't afford anyone anyway If you can't spend you can at least pay your debts Average bear has a very short term view of this
Maybe you don't understand that an embargo means **** all if you are liquidated If you somehow survive and win the EBT then being stopped from buying players and instead have money to pay your debts would be the dignified thing to do
That's what I've been saying. I don't understand (perhaps am fick) what all the hubbub is about. Association rules were broken. The punishment was handed down. £160k - to a club that's millions debt - means **** all. Transfer embargo - who the **** were we going to buy anyway? Does anybody seriously think (should we survive) that we'll have the cash to happily go shopping in the transfer window(s). Aye, Murray/Kennedy/TBK are gonny arrive with wads of cash and it'll be business as usual in the SPL. Oh no! The transfer embargo has ****ed us!
exactly a 12 month ban (2 windows) is **** all to us. We can't buy anyone anyway. The very least of our worries if you ask me. All these daft ****s organising protests don't know who to blame. They should be marching to ****ing Ibrox not hampden
Of course a transfer embargo affects us. To get the club back on an even keel, the new owner would want to sell the players who can command a decent transfer fee and those on high wages, and replace them with experienced but cheaper options. Now he'll have to sell the players and replace them with under-18s. As things stand, it looks like we'll be fielding a team of 17 year olds next season and will pretty definitely be relegated.
and marching to Murray's offices ... Murray caused it by being conned by Whyte! Conned, he jumped at the chance to bin Rangers! Then Whyte caused it by stealing all the cash! Duff and Phelps even caused some of it by not adhering to deadlines they set!
Once the current squad are sold off on the cheap in the summer we can't even bring in free signings to replace them. Before this nobody with any sense believed that the squad was going to be strengthened in the summer, just that there would be enough players at a reasonable level of ability and experience to avoid relegation. Also to generate revenue, there have long been plans to bring in players to sell on for a future profit. This is likely part of the business model proposed by the bidders so it completely ****s that up too.
Rangers had it tough from sfa !!! Last season was the worst decision ever against a manager , the shame game , 9 yellow , 3 red including man handling the ref , your manager approaches our dug out , yet Lennon was the only person punished . Funny he didn't want the three man panel named and shamed then .Be interesting to see if sfa charge him for those comments , his surname isn't Lennon , he should get off with it . The last 5 transfers you've been involved , you've faulted in the payment , the punishment is 100% correct , what do you guys want ,Rangers to give up their first 5 corners next season .As for Mccoist asking for sympathy , where was that when you liquidated Airdrie for 30 thousand quid . As they say it's pay back time
Sites like FF are the breeding grounds for these delusions. I personally don't know any fans who think we're being unfairly treated (and too many timmy's who are laughing their arses off ). We shat our own nest. Take the lumps regardless of how hard they are to take. I was disappointed to hear Ally last night talking about unfair treatment and frankly incredulous about his comment about other mangers circling the club like vultures. What the **** would he expect other clubs to do? There are some great players up for grabs for possibly **** all money. Does he seriously think we can keep them? Perhaps he knows summat we don't
Fair points. But I really don't see where the cash to buy is coming from. My understanding (and I may be wrong) is that if we liquidate/newco (which is looking a whole lot more likely than CVA) then the players become free agents (or can apply to UEFA/FIFA to be free agents) and aren't ours to sell.
Would it not be easier to get the bus or train to hampden/ibrox, rather than marching? **** SPT and First Glasgow
You can't afford new players now You can't afford the players you have How does an embargo kill your club? Play your kids Save a years transfer budget Much like a lot of Scottish clubs
And you think the massive amounts of debts we are in will mean no signings for only 12 months? It wouldn't surprise me if we survived and never bought a player for 3 years. I understand fully what the embargo means, which is quite literally **** all.
An embargo on signing players will impact the business models proposed by any groups bidding. This may stop any bids being made/accepted and therefore condemn Rangers to death. If Rangers survive it will also almost certainly see Rangers relegated as any player worth anything will be sold on the cheap effectively leaving Rangers with under 18's. If any of those catch the eye then they'll be off too. Again, the business plans of any bidders will have to take all this into account making Rangers much less attractive (from the very unattractive position they are already in).
