Eh, both the goons and spuds on this forum board at least seem as fickle as each other when their team fails to win/drops points.

I assume that was aimed at me? Show me where I went on a foul mouthed rant after Spurs failed to win/dropped points (same thing surely?). To be fair, we are probably more used to it over the years.
 
I think you will find that on the run in predictions, most people had the Everton game down as a draw.

I do think though that Moyes got it wrong with the negative tactics. He needed to have a go that game. A draw was a worse result for them.

Everton did not give the game a chance. They were generally very agressive in the middle but did not commit men forward except for about 10 minutes towards the end of the second half, when the game opened right up. It must have scared the crap out of Moyes, because he immediately came out of his seat, made substitutions and the game clammed up again.
 
Wasn't aimed at anyone really, just a general comment about the fact you guys are both as bad as each other :P

Utter garbage that. Did you actually watch the ****ing game like?

Arsenal barely got a kick in the opening 20 minutes, we pressed the ball high up the pitch & should have been ahead after 6 minutes.

It was only the last 15-20 mins when we started to drop off a bit deeper & played too many long balls that Anichebe & Jelavic simply didn't hold up & it came straight back as a result.

Can't really agree with this, I thought Everton started both halves better than us and then defended well when we got a hold in the game, it was a good performance from them, without really threatening us. I thought their organisation was spot on, but they got lucky in the first half when the ref bottled sending off Gibson, the offence was easily a second yellow and by rights he should have walked, the game would have been very different if that had happened, but in the end I have to say that a draw was definitely the fair result.
 
I didn't see Everton get any better possession than we did. It was just a scrap in the middle. I didn't see them put a decent chance on target the whole game. I don't really get it when you guys watch these games. You have such a double standard. Giroud was apparently terrible but their forward guy was nowhere, hardly got a decent touch, yet somehow they played better than we did.

I don't understand it. Being realistic is one thing but making stuff up to say your team is terrible just seems strange.

I thought Everton set themselves up well and kept their shape all night bar the final 15 mins.
I also think that even if Gibson had been sent off we would still have struggled to break them down and the 0-0 may well have been the end result, even playing against 10 men for an hour.
We created little and when we did get behind their back line poor finishing was to blame, look at last seasons game which was very similar until one moment of magic from RVP, difference between 1 and 3 points.
I can't criticise Everton for Tuesday, they were physical yes but not violent like some are suggesting.
These teams don't just turn up and roll over for us, we should be made to work for our wins and despite being on an exceptional run I still think we lack the quality to break down teams who set themselves up like Everton did.
Sunderland, Stoke, Swansea and QPR (all considered to be inferior teams) have all done it effectively at Emirates even if we did manage to nick wins in 2 of those games - we have a decent squad but only Cazorla it seems has the ability to create something in the way Pires, Dennis or Cesc could and in games like Tuesdays we needed that little bit of extra creative quality, at times it looked like our best chance of creating chances came from our left back...

Yeah, but I think Arsenal fans seem to think it is something that only happens to Arsenal. We saw Man City frustrated by Wigan and nearly suffering a 0-0 just recently. Man United lost to Norwich, etc etc etc. This isn't anything specific to Arsenal. Everton are a decent side, and if they set out to be ultra-defensive, it is going to be very difficult to score.
 
It will go to the wire this season for 3,4,5 .
Chelsea , Arsenal , Spurs , Everton and Liverpool to battle it out .
 
Of course it's not specific to Arsenal, most top teams face defensive set ups when they visit, difference is that Utd/City have less trouble breaking these sides down which is why they sit 1/2 in the league.
City (I think) have only dropped points at home to sides in the current top 7, Utd have only dropped points to Tottenham and City, these have less trouble breaking down the Sunderlands/Swansea/Stokes of the league.
Without someone of the quality of yesteryears talent this is not a surprise and until we upgrade I expect this to continue to be the case...

I think we can agree that United have been exceptional this year against everyone; home or away.
