I heard that Chelsea's Frank Lampard is considering a shock move to Championship side Watford. He has promised to let ex teammate Zola know within the next week regarding a player / future coaching role after revealing that money is no longer his driving force and wants a fresh challenge.

Djourou is apparently wanted by Hannover, so I suspect that one is out - didn't thought it would be on anyway.
Bookies are offering 7/4 that Lampard will join the Struggling Steptoes
I thought Harry Redknapp wanted to lose the people earning too much. How can QPR justify Frank Lampard unless he is like a prize wife, one you pay lots of money for.
Unlike for a prize wife, money may no longer be an issue for him.
I'd hazard a guess that, like a lot of Chelsea players, he has more of the stuff than he knows what to do with anyway.

Crewe are in talks with Watford over the possible loan signing of Striker Chris Iwelumo who's loan at Notts County has concluded. Steve Davis and Neil Baker (assistant) have however put the deal on hold before a decision is made on the current on-loan Fulham forward lauri dalle valle who has scored 5 goals in 11 appearances for the ever improving Railwaymen. The Wage of Iwelumo remains the biggest obstacle for the south cheshire club who aim to get a striker in before the close of the transfer window. Whether that still be LDV or not remains to be seen.
Another striker on steve davis' radar is out of sorts AFC Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs. A short term loan is one option but due to the league standings, moving to a rival club looks unlikely at this moment in time.

Zola is rumoured to be leaving Watford but in strange deal that would see him effectively swop with the current udinese manager Francesco Guidolin. The pozzos feel that this would help Watford get promoted and aid udinese to a European competition place.

I tried to get "Watford are confident of signing Udinese defender Ferrero Rocher on loan for the rest of the season" on the rumour site, but they didn't bite.
They are cunning - didn't accept my rumour about the Sierra Leonean striker Osolo Me'o coming from Udinese either.

According to Sky, the club are trying to sort out a long term contract with Troy Deeney as his current one runs out this summer.
In an ideal world you'd hope Deeney might show some loyalty to the club who supported him through the troubled times...but then footbal isn't like that.
