16 Jun 2013 12:17:01 Watford interested in Alen Halilović from dinamo zagreb. Been on the radar of the trios scouting network for some time. 16 years old - and already a full international for Croatia. Looks like a handy midfielder... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTZcMAg6Jw8
Drat - hope there is no truth in this one. 19 Jun 2013 15:04:03 Swiss side BSC Young Boys keen on Udinese's Watford loanee Almen Abdi as a playmaking replacement for Alexander Farnerud in their midfield
They can be as keen as they want, he's not going anywhere. The Pozzo's want us promoted this season and Abdi is one of the key players to make that happen.
Sometimes Google is less than perfect "Udinese v Watford, synergy in the sign of the patron Pozzo. It is from Udine to the English club will get three more reinforcements: Marco Davide Faraoni, Inter redeemed today, is a name that you're considering. But even Angella and Fabbrini are two possible hypotheses."
Rumour appears to be gathering pace: 19 Jun 2013 22:14:37 Fresh reports from Sky Italia suggest Fabbrini, Angella and Faraoni are in their way from Udinese to Watford, though not sure if permanent or as loans. Faraoni confirmed as bought totally today by udinese from Inter in deal that takes Handanovic other way permanently. Entirely possible Merkel could be next if Udinese win blind auction against Genoa tomorrow. Ranegie also still on the cards.
It is good being linked with all these players, but only if they come over along with most of the first-teamers from last season. We don't want to have the first 5-10 games where the players are having to gel again! If we can still get the likes of Ekstrand, Pudil, Battocchio, Abdi, Anya, Cassetti, hopefully Vydra and I'd like to give Neuton another go, then it will keep some consistency in the squad, with a few to add that extra bit of quality! I've read that pre-season trainging starts next week (week today, I think) so should know better who is over by then, but also somewhere that they will be getting announced on the 1st of July. With the "embargo", the registrations are probably just taking that bit longer so the FL can go through it - plus the players will all be on holiday! So no huge rush to hear who is coming and who is not....
Vydra's agent at it again; http://www1.skysports.com/football/...j-Vydra-is-wanted-by-Werder-Bremen-says-agent
What is with these loan rumours? Does any team really think they can get him on loan? Whats in it for the Pozzo's? The only team worth loaning him to is us because he can help us get promotion which in turn will line their pockets with gold and at the end of the day, that's what matters most to them. Either he is sold at their asking price or comes back on loan to us, I'm sure those are the only two options that the Pozzo's are considering.
Watford have made such progress in the last year, but along with the good always comes some bad. The bad is an agent who conducts his business in public and will probably have a disruptive influence on all around him. What we must now learn to accept is that no player is bigger than the club. Whilst I am only talking about the agent ( to his credit I have not seen any public comments from MV ) I think the next step to learn for us Watford fans, is that no player is bigger than the club, and that some agents will only act in their own best interests. If we are to lose MV, then we must appreciate the pleasure he has given us this season, say thank you to him and wish him well. Then if he does go, pour a bucket of smelly cold water on the agent's head.
Carlos Javier Acuna; http://www.diarioinformacion.com/el...a-decanta-mejor-oferta-economica/1387251.html Acuna is a 24 year old Paraguayan striker. He's scored 21 goals in 55 apps for Girona, who play in the Spanish Second Division. He can also play as a winger. Acuna is owned by Real Madrid B. 5ft 9in tall.
Sounds good but I hope we have some concentre news on transfers fairly soon... Just to see the squad building and so we don't have a late rush of them affecting early season forum.
Contracts up-date. Bond and Doyley were offered on in May. No news on the others - http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ract_negotiations_to_start_next_week/?ref=rss Hall might be let go I guess as he is injury prone if we have 4/5 other options.
