Re JJO'T - He turned up for pre-season out of condition having put at least a stone on. His attitude was not proffesional enough I believe (at the time) and whether drink was involved or not I don't know

Just noticed this on the Guardian rumours page <grr>

Newcastle want Burnley's Jay Rodriguez and "Watford ace Adrian Mariappa", if "Watford ace" is not an oxymoron.

<grr>

Well as much as I want him to stay, the more people interested the more money we'll get for him. We will always be in the position where our best players will eventually move on to better things. As long as we get good money for him and a chance of a decent replacement then I'll be happy-ish.

Nw**kwo Kanu will join Watford either tomorrow or Tuesday on a deal until the end of the season.

Oh i hope so. The man will always be a legend for Pompey, but his legs (knees especially) are shot! Long live the King. PU

Wouldn't surprise me as pompey need the money and he doesnt play much these days. Still a legend :D

I hope the rumour about either Kanu is just trash, one over the hill and the second at Reading is like bambi on ice<yikes>

With only a day or so of the window left, clubs will be getting desperate if they have money to spend. If we are selling, it's time to hold our nerve and hold out...Arsenal went into a buying frenzy at the end of the last window and were paying silly money

Sky Sports understands Watford are poised to sign Fulham midfielder Alex Kacaniklic on loan.

Kacaniklic, who joined Fulham from Liverpool in the summer of 2010, has yet to make a senior appearance for the Cottagers since arriving at the club.

The 20-year-old has been a regular member of Fulham's development squad and he is highly-rated within the corridors of Craven Cottage.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is happy to loan out Kacaniklic so that he can get some valuable first-team experience under his belt.

Watford chief Sean Dyche has been looking to bolster his squad and he sees Kacaniklic as a key addition to his squad with the Swede set to join the Hornets until the end of the season.
