I agree, but the issue for many years has been the WRU itself.

The difference on the technical, ball handling skills, strength & conditioning, as well as bringing players through, can be largely explained by the respective ‘pathways’ of both countries.

The IRU supports and finances the Professional teams, in Wales the WRU has - not just in my opinion but also in my direct experience of having literally been sitting in the room with them during discussions on changing and improving the situation - been nowhere near as supportive and helpful of the Professional teams i.e. the Regions.

We had to hang on for dear life for first 15 of second half. We’ve left 3-4 more tries behind us today. France look knackered.
We’ve been impressive today in fairness

we’re deffo in a great place, no doubt about that but we have an awful WC group. SA first match. We lose that and pick up injuries and then we face Scotland who have a handy first match to stay in the tournament. Then if we do qualify it’s NZ or France in the quarters.

Gatland must be wondering what he has got himself in to. Not often you see Welsh players literally giving up. They’re fooked.

You have to give credit where it’s due. Scotland look very good. Their matches home to Ireland and away to France will show where they are. You have to be impressed.

Big match tomorrow for England. It’s a banana skin. I hope Italy are competitive but I expect England to win pulling away. If not…..
