Old Deadly. A fixture of England teams in my youth. RIP, and to a time when the summers were always sunny, hot and long. Can’t believe he was only 15 years older than me, he looked middle aged even in his twenties.
Deadly Derek was unplayable in the days of uncovered pitches, unquestionably one of England's greatest spin bowlers. RIP...
I had the pleasure of playing against him once in a charity match, he was totally the English cricketing gentleman
being a Kent supporter & seeing him play at Canterbury it’s very sad news & another Legend gone, RIP Derek
One of the greats..... not just a spinner but he bowled at medium pace which made him almost unplayable.....
RIP Derek Underwood. Always remembered him as a good quality slow bowler here in the 70’s. Underwood, Alan Knott and so on …. Good team men.
RIP Dickie Betts One of the greatest guitarists of his era and a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band (only one left now to keep the memory alive). Another part of my youth slips away.
