A bit late this one as apparently he passed away in June..... i was away last week and i bumped into a QPR friend who told me that Gerry, the guvenor of the Crown & Sceptre passed away in June. I was shocked as I knew Gerry quite well. Other QPR forums carried info on it at the time but I know quite a few from here would have known him too. A heart attack apparently, not covid. I was completely shocked when I heard the news. RIP Gerry. Condolences to his family.

Big fan of the Avengers as a kid - and I still watch them Dame Diana’s daughter, actress Rachael Stirling, said: “My Beloved Ma died peacefully in her sleep early this morning, at home, surrounded by family. She died of cancer diagnosed in March, and spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession. I will miss her beyond words”. RIP
Why not Jeff ? Genuine question as there are some amazing, technical fighters out there that you’re missing out on. RIP Alan Minter. A real Legend
Just don’t enjoy watching it, I did in 60/70’s with my Dad, build up is a farce & takes hours before the fight comes on & wouldn’t pay to watch it on sky either
Sorry to be so late with this - I did not know Alan Minter but I am devastated by the passing of Diana Rigg. I know the late Honor Blackman preceded her on the Avengers but Diana was, for me, the Avengers (with a tip of the "Maple" hat to Patrick Macnee of course). She will be missed
