If anybody doesn’t yet think that ‘Killing Eve’ has jumped the proverbial shark then watch the latest episode where the blonde Scouser with the fake Russian accent is visited by a version of herself dressed as Jesus might have looked had he been a bearded woman and a member of Abba.

I thought it was Russell Brand

I saw them when they played in Trafalgar Square for Nelson Mandela day in 2001.
They were pretty good
I saw them at Wembley Arena some time in the late 80s. Superb.
Saw them at the Palatrussardi in Milan in about 89. They were great, despite the barn like venue. I have a strong preference for their early, spiky stuff, not that the rest is bad, but there is just so much of it.

Also saw James Brown at the same venue, but it’s not fair to compare.

It's Stipe's voice that gets me. Spinetingling.

For me, on the early stuff especially, it was the harmonies. Fall On Me is like a madrigal.
For everyone else

Definition of madrigal
1 : a medieval short lyrical poem in a strict poetic form. 2a : a complex polyphonic unaccompanied vocal piece on a secular text developed especially in the 16th and 17th centuries. b : part-song especially : glee. Other Words from madrigal Example Sentences Learn More About madrigal.

I’m the same when I hear Beth Gibbons of Portishead
Glory Box has to be one of my all time favourite songs, in the original version (though live even better), Lisa Hannigan’s cover which is just about a homage but her voice is as stunning as Beth Gibbons’ but in a different way, and John Martyn’s version who took the basics and made it something else, never the same twice.

Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky were played on loop in my old flat while winding down after a heavy night raving.
It always seemed to become more melodic and meaningful during those come downs

Cowboys is by far her best song (in my opinion). Still ****s up my head, even now

A band that you had to see live to appreciate how good they were.

First saw REM at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1985, supporting U2 before Bono became a ****. Seen REM at least three more times since, Glastonbury, T in the Park, and their own headline show at Loch Lomond. Stipe is fantastic.

Or Liz Fraser.....

We went to see Massive Attack a couple of years ago on the Mezzanine anniversary tour - Liz Frazer guested on a couple of tracks....not the greatest footage, but was a great experience

I'm just in from seeing Tom McGuire and the Brassholes - I hadn't even heard of them until this morning, Mrs had been given the tickets for her birthday and forgotten all about them. Venue was The Old Fruitmarket, in the Merchant City area of Glasgow, a beautiful venue...

Went with no expectations of the band, and was very pleasantly surprised. Funk, soul blues - lots of audience participation, including crowd surfing on an inflatable pizza slice! Would definately go see them again.

That's all very well, but I've seen Pink Floyd on numerous occasions :emoticon-0109-kiss:
