An interesting thought … anyone have a bucket list for bands they have never seen but could/would like to still possibly see now?

Sounds good. The Mrs, though of Welsh parents, was born and bred in Handsworth and has always been a big fan.
What happened to reggae? All the later stuff on this programme seems to be essentially novelty stuff. I love the late 70s early 80s stuff like Steel Pulse and Misty in Roots.
To my shame I have never seen Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds live. Was going to this year but the tour was cancelled……what about you?

Yeah that time period for Reggae was great…Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru, Misty in Roots (who were local Southall lads), then I got into Eek A Mouse and Yellow Man.

One of my biggest regrets is having a ticket for Pink Floyd at Earls Court back in 1994 I think, and I couldn't make the gig due to Princess Anne (long story....still got hang ups about the Royal Family over that). I've seen Aussie Floyd a few times, and they are superb, but just not the real thing.
Would've loved to have seen Joy Division, just a bit before my time though. Seen New Order a few times, and Hooky on his own, but their voices don't bring the same haunting quality that Ian Curtis had.
Saw him at a festival a few years back, brilliant. Me and the missus left our friends watching Kings of Leon (****) to go and watch him, well worth the walk even if it was pissing down.
Would have loved to see Joy Division at their height…from the footage I’ve seen it would have been amazing….Ian Curtis was a pure genius.

I would loved to have seen quite a few bands/singers just to see if they really were as good as they seem when I’ve seen them on TV. A lot of 60’s icons like The Doors, Janis Joplin, early Stones, The Who and Jimi Hendrix….just to see.
Dunno if I mentioned before but I had a chat with my best mates brother, who is a lovely guy and got talking about gigs he had been to and found out he’d been to the Isle of Wight festival in 1970 where it all kicked off and Hendrix played his last iconic UK gig.
I wanted to know what it was like to be at something that was a true moment in rock history and was in awe of him being there and what the atmosphere was like…he just turned and said “sorry mate, can’t remember a ****ing thing about it ‘cos I was too wasted on LSD”…I would have loved to have been there

Moments in rock history....I've got two that I think will fit the bill...
Stone Roses at Spike Island - an amazing day, it's astonishing that's there's hardly any footage of it anywhere.
Nirvana at Reading Festival in 1992 - cited as their best gig. A great end to a really good festival - and it was my first of many.
I'd have loved to have seen The Doors, Jimi, Janis and a lot of those bands from that era too.
Definitely Spike Island would have been amazing..
Another gig/tour would have been any of the gigs on the original 2-tone tour in the 80’s.
Saw the Specials in their comeback tour and it was brilliant but during the original buzz of that era it must have been mind blowing.
Same with Hawkwind….with Lemmy on vocals, Stacia dancing with her tits out, a backdrop of Stonehenge and LSD in my veins….
Hmmm … would never call myself a Springsteen fan but convinced by those around I need to see him live to see if he can convert me - feel I’l get a strong performance even if he doesn’t. Nick Cave also falls into that category.
Fan, but never seen, Joe Jackson. Now have tickets for next year.
Have wanted to see Elbow perform and due to see them in a cancelled gig at end of Sept. Heard lots of good things about them live.
Jamiriquai would be another interesting gig to see. Rarely around much these days - but interest is piqued.
Have grown in appreciation for jazz lately (never thought I would!) - be interested in seeing a few current bands .. Khruangbin, Haitus Kaiyote, Emma-Jean Thackray, Puma Blue, Floating Points … interesting start.
A few others I’d be interested to see could be Black Pumas, Squid, Brittany Howard, Greantea Peng, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Moin, Arctic Monkeys, The XXX
On the reggae front … Damian or Stephen Marley, The Dualers, Black Uhuru.
Bands/artists I can never see … Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, Talk Talk, John Martyn, Bob Marley, James Brown, Bobby Byrd, Gil Scott-Heron, Miles Davies, Charles Bradley, Cocteau Twins, Linkin Park, Stone Roses.
I’m sure I could add more… didn’t even touch rap/hip-hop
I saw Johnny Cash, he was great apart from cousins twice removed and grand children being introduced individually and then each played 15 minutes of not so good stuff
I saw Prodigy about 10 times, and even partied backstage with them at Brixton Academy after one gig.
One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live and never disappointed with the pure energy that they showed.
The wife has seen Springsteen a couple of times, says he's amazing but it's just not my bag so haven't taken up the offer of tickets.
Elbow - seen a few times. Guy Garvey has one of the best voices around - enjoy.
Arctic Monkeys, lost count how many times we've seen them. Their newer material is a bit pretentious but it's still very good live.
Squid - can't wait til end of next month to see them, that's going to be an experience and a half.
Saw the Prodigy couple of times, what an atmosphere, especially at T in the Park in a field with 50,000 others.
Wifey saw Prince a bit before he died, said he was exceptionally brilliant.
I feel pretty privileged to have seen Fleetwood Mac at IOW festival a few years back with the original line up.
Wasn’t really looking forward to it and didn’t know what to expect but WOW !!

Stevie Nicks wasn't in the original line up, mate. I would have loved to have seen the actual original band with Peter Green playing the blues.
Wow I’ve learnt something…..always thought she was there at the beginning. I guess she was part of their more famous line up ? Unless you are a die hard fan I guess.
Was never really a fan and only knew a few of their ‘hits’ but that performance blew me away

As far as I'm concerned, they were only ever any good while Peter Green was with them.
