There's a show on BBC2 called 'I'll Get This', a mildly amusing format where celebrities play games at the dinner table to see who will have to pick up the bill for the meal they're sharing. Generally harmless stuff, but tonight's group includes one Harry Redknapp. Excruciating.

I'm not allowed to watch anything with him in anymore - the missus has got so fed up of me saying "I ****ing hate that ****" every five minutes <laugh>

Squid live on KEXP (You Tube) posted a few hours ago. Worth a look. Interview too.
Global Groove was excellent. These guys are brilliant. Their technicality is amazing. Love their sound experimentation. Laurie Nankivell is everywhere.
Steels I am envious - they will be amazing live if this session is anything is to go by!!!

I've watched/listened to this four times today - I'm salivating at the prospect of seeing these guys in the flesh! Bright Green Field has been a revelation, one of the best albums I've heard for years, so uniquely different but absolute quality.

In the interview they say they are working on a pile of new material, which is very exciting.

Roll on SWG3 on the 28th Sep - a great venue

The album is excellent… but when you see the work put into the music live; the musicianship …
I couldn’t help thinking of Eno and Kraftwerk dipping into punk. Superb!

Half way through a bottle of Christian Patat Appassimento from Naked Wines, which I think Strolls has referred to before on here.

It is sensational, and incredible value, compares very well to Amarone as a very chunky red.

So glad you like it. Truly sensational for.under a tenner. I've signed up for a case of six each time they get a new batch.

Me too. Thanks for the recommendation, it’s a real winner. His other wines, mostly white, are very good too. But I haven’t had anything bad from Naked Wines so far. My wife and daughter have just polished off a bottle of rose (not Patat) which was not to my taste but it wasn’t bought for me….

My daughter is a fan of Keith Brymer Jones the potter and former punk singer who gets emotional on the Great Pottery Throwdown, which is surprisingly good for reality TV. I wouldn’t turn it on but I don’t moan if it’s on when I enter the room. Anyway, she’s already told me my next Christmas present will be one of his mugs:

There's one rose from them that I really like - Pique Nique by Benjamin Darnault.

Damn, he's just posted, I was going to say they pay £20 for getting people to sign up - £200 for Stainesy.

You lads need to get down Aldi’s and have a look through their fine range of spirits….the vodka has a rather pleasant after taste of meths and amyl nitrate.

This is easily the best thread on this forum. I learn stuff, try new things and have a laugh. Outstanding and thank you all contributors and Strolls for kicking it off.
