The Umbrella Academy, on Netflix.
Recommended to me by a friend, I've binged two seasons of this in no time at all. It's a dark comedy with a bit of sci-fi and superhero chucked in.
October 1st 1989, 43 women who were not pregnant gave birth. Seven of these children are adopted/bought by an eccentric billionaire who brings them up with a view to saving the world. They all show signs of super powers, and thwart several criminal capers as kids. Years later, on the death of their step-father, the estranged siblings re-unite and discover the apocalypse is only days away - and attempt to save the world. Not everything goes to plan....
Don't want to spoil anything, but season two is even better!
The original comics were written by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, and the series has a killer soundtrack ranging from Bay City Rollers to Radiohead and everything inbetween.
I've really enjoyed it, and if you're looking for something light-hearted that will appeal to a range of ages, give this a go.
