Yes, the tunes have been really good. I've enjoyed the story too - looks like "The Twelve" are starting to coming to the fore

a what???

Virtual Private Network - It hides your IP address, and you can set it so that it looks like you are in the UK so you can watch iPlayer and other stuff. A free one gives you about 2GB of streaming a month, whereas paid ones will give you unlimited access

Good switch of threads! Yes, it’s easy to forget that people were being tortured well into the 1970s. The courage and patience of the victims was/is incredible and very moving. The Spanish, or most of them, have completely repressed these memories. My brothers kids, who were born and brought up in Madrid, know much less than I do about it. It’s remarkable that passing a law saying ‘we’re going to forget the last forty years’ can actually make a nation forget.

When you click your link, there's another Storyville show below it -

Murder in the Bush: Cold Case Hammarskjöld

I know Stroller has watched it because we discussed it on here and I can't recommend it highly enough - some of the revelations in it should be all over the world news. It's not available on iPlayer at the moment but I think it might be on Amazon - if you've got a spare two hours search it out.

The Hammarskjöld thing is stunning.

Another Storyville thing I would recommend is OJ: Made in America. It's long (three 90 minute parts), but well worth a watch. Ostensibly about OJ, but more about relations between the black community in LA and the police force - from the Watts riots to the Rodney KIng beating and culminating in the OJ case.

Was that the Freddie Mills one ?

Oops.....think I’ve got it completely wrong

Murder in the Bush: Cold Case Hammarskjöld
Storyville

Danish director Mads Brügger and Swedish private investigator Göran Björkdahl are trying to solve the mysterious death of Dag Hammarskjöld. As their investigation closes in, they discover a crime far worse than the murder of the secretary-general of the United Nations.

In 1961, United Nations Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld’s plane mysteriously crashed, killing Hammarskjöld and most of the crew. With the case still unsolved over 50 years later, Danish journalist, film-maker and provocateur Mads Brügger leads us down an investigative rabbit hole to unearth the truth. Scores of false starts, dead ends and elusive interviews later, Brügger and his sidekick, Swedish Göran Björkdahl, begin to sniff out something more monumental than anything they had initially imagined.

In his signature provocateur style, Brügger becomes both film-maker and subject, challenging the very nature of truth by ‘performing’ the role of truth seeker. As Brügger uncovers a major secret that could send shockwaves around the world, we realise that sometimes absurdity and irony are the emboldening ingredients needed to confront what is truly sinister in the world.

Cold Case Hammarskjöld was premiered at Sundance in 2019 and won the Directing Award for World Cinema Documentary.

Gangs of London........so brilliantly violent that Stans Mrs would be shielding her eyes in horror.....definitely not family entertainment for the Sb household.

A must watch

Finally got some down time, due to Lockdown in China we've run out of hardware (a huge shipment is on it's way). Anyway, I'm two episodes into Gangs of London - loving it :emoticon-0148-yes:

Just finished it - brilliant. As you say, very violent. Thought I was watching someone playing Call of Duty in one episode, and GTA is some others it was so extreme, so it's definately not for everyone.

Looks like it's left open for another season, although there's hardly any gangs left!

Good call @Staines R's
