We’ll be standing for sure mate
Stalls then. Excellent. Last gig I saw there was Ian Dury and The Blockheads doing a benefit for their drummer Charley Charles, who had died. Must have been 91 or 92. A phenomenal evening.

How are Alabama 3 going to play Hypo Full of Love without the Reverend?

Good for Mark Radcliffe pointing out how nice it was to see a band just playing songs in front of amps rather than having dancers, guests, enormous sets etc.

I really don’t know to be honest. A lot of the sound that makes the Alabama 3 will be lost for sure, but I reckon they will be strong enough to get through it without him and make a fitting tribute to his legacy.
I listened to the album while waiting for the kids last week and ‘Peace in the Valley’ had me blubbing like a baby....went straight on to my funeral song list......along with Placebo, Running up that hill and Nine Inch Nails, Hurt........you are all invited...should be a good do :)
