Watched Bad Santa 2 over the weekend and concluded I would recommend it to people who liked Bad Santa. There really isn't a more in depth review on the film

Got the painters in to re do the kitchen which was only done last year. It’s beyond me, the wife decided......

Anyway they are playing the Wombats really loud, which is great fun. A kind of smoothed off version of the Libertines, as I have just explained to them, to their huge appreciation. I should imagine that the Wombats would be fun to see live, very bouncy.

Not a review, but a request for recommendations. My son watches stuff on his phone on his commute to work, which lasts about 40 minutes, and has a similar sense of humour to my own. He's just finished watching all 180 episodes of Seinfeld (his choice) and I have told him he should start watching either Larry Sanders or The Day Today. What would you lot advise?

Curb Your Enthusiasm if he liked the Seinfeld. I like them both very much.

I am rediscovering the wonderful League of Gentlemen in preparation for 3 new episodes being shown before Christmas.

I haven't seen Detectorists, and wouldn't have expected much from it, but have heard other good reports.
I’ve seen a few. Not bad, quite old fashioned, but Toby Jones is excellent as he is in everything.

If your son doesn’t mind a lot of excellent swearing, The Thick Of It is great.

I didn't watch League of Gentlemen first time round but have watched most of them since and liked it a lot.

Inside Number Nine has been absolutely brilliant at times.

He hears a lot of excellent swearing when he sits with me and my old fart companions at QPR. The Thick Of It is great - have you seen Veep? (I haven't)

I watch Veep mainly on plane journeys, where it always seems to be on the Entertainment selection. It’s very good, similar to the Thick of It, very sweary and funny but no one to match up to Malcolm Tucker.

Armando Iannucci seems to be a thread here.

Watching Bastille live at Eden on BBC4. Pretty good, and he's a Rangers man (one of them).
