Here he comes! Big Robert Smith, one of our own, going to smash it on the Pyramid Stage! Can"t wait, am seeing them in August.

Was just gonna say the same......looks amazing and playing all the hits. One of my all time fave bands but oh my, Robert Smith has changed a tad since I saw them in the 80’s.
Where you seeing them mate ?

I'm not a Stormzy fan - however for a rapper to take the stage and have the crowd eating out of his hand is something to be admired.
But offer me a ticket for The Cure or Stormzy….and it's the Crawley Boys every time

Bellahouston Park in Glasgow - part of the Summer Sessions up here, fab support too - Mogwai and Twilight Sad. Then Foo Fighters the following night!!

It'll be their first gig in Scotland for 27 years. Never thought we'd see them so flew down to London a couple of years ago to see them at Wembley, and now they're playing just down the road!!

I first heard Mogwai when they did Hungryface, the theme for ‘Les Revenants’.....amazing piece of music that still brings me up in goosebumps.
Sounds a great gig

Flags at festivals should be banned.....and people sitting on others shoulders should be shot.

They banned flags from festivals up here.....but not because of the annoyance factor, people were fighting with them once they were tanked up on Buckfast <laugh> seen some serious fights at T in the Park over the years, one of the reasons it's been disbanded (the last T in the Park there were 2 murders - I think, and some overdoses too)

Love the Cure, but have to agree with Strolls and Stainsey it’s an odd choice to close the weekend. I presume the Glastonbury demographic is pretty ancient, like me.

Robert Smith is in fine voice though and the sound in the telly is pretty good, unlike for most of the other sets I’ve seen so far. Actually this is brilliant stuff.

Just turned on, have they played my old favourite ‘A Forest’ yet?

Not yet mate.....no doubt they will soon.
To be honest, and of course I’m biased, but I don’t think it’s a bad headliner. If you look at some of the headliners at festivals this year they’ve been pretty **** (George Ezra at IOW ??)
In another note G, fancy coming to see the Alabama 3 at Brixton in December ? I’m gonna go with my two lads and I’m expecting a few tears to be shed for the Rev when they play ‘Peace in the Valley’

You are 100% on mate, cheers.

And on this performance the Cure should have headlined Woodstock and the original IOW festival. Outstanding.

Just watched Thom York’s short Animi, now I am a Radiohead/ Thom York fan, but what a load of pretentious and time wasting tosh. Weird worked in the eighties and that’s where the choreography and sound should have been left. I’m afraid Thom looked like an old bloke trying to look still relevant and he doesn't need to.
