Cheers, but it’s going to take a major effort, the first few minutes that I did catch didn’t grab me at all, and another grim crime n politics mash up is the last thing I need. Question Time coming on so I’m changing channel, hopefully some Family Guy on.
I'm watching QT for the first time in ages. There's some apprentice Maybot representing the Tories, but David Lammy for Labour will at least speak his mind.
Roman J Israel ESQ Another very good film 2 in a week both high 9s That and Three Billboards Faith is restored in good films in a world of dross like Star Wars
I once stuck an opened packet of scampi fries under a secretary desk. She was an office bully ... that sorted her . She was on cranberry juice for three days until she found them
Just turned on to see Gary Numan wearing the most ridiculous and obvious rug in the history of rugdom and dressed up like an extra from Mad Max. Not sure about having an audience. Used to love the 100% full on renditions in front of a couple of cameramen.
I remember the New York Dolls doing a completely manic version of Jet Boy with no audience and thinking what would they be like with equally mad fans? Never a Numan fan but the first song wasn’t bad. I can live without Are Friends Electric again though. Kraftwerk the only synth band for me.
Actually watching this now, as the dog has refused to go for a walk in the cold, and you are spot on about the clunky dialogue. Very stagey. Very surprised that John Sim, who I always thought was a very good actor, didn’t say ‘nobody speaks like this Sir David, please write something better’. All the characters seem to be shorthand.
I saw Collateral come on after watching University Challenge this evening and remembered that you mentioned it on here. I've just downloaded the first two episodes and will report back.
