We took 3 cats with us to France but they have all passed away of old age. Shortly after arriving here two of our (small) dogs found a kitten in one of the stables and she grew up thinking she was one of them and used to come for walks with me and the dogs. Apart from 2 kittens that someone dropped on us (knowing they would have a good home), all our other cats bar one are descendants of that first adoption. However, word must get around the feline community because my daughter, who lives in the town, was "adopted" by a kitten and, shortly afterwards, by another.
