It's a chance to either reward people and 'add to their reputation' or (if you don't like what they say) to disapprove and so reduce their Reputation.

If you click on the little star on the left hand side of a post (the one next to where it says 'Blog this post') then you get the chance to either approve (and give 'rep') or disapprove and so give what we call 'neg rep'. And if you want, you can even leave a message when you do it. Fairly easy.

You see at the bottom of your own posts, you currently have 'Rep Power' of 8 - that will increase when you receive rep from others. The more rep power you have the more you give when you add to (or take away from) others - and there are some big hitters on this thread, as you can see.

You can see wh has recently given you rep by clicking on the 'Control Panel' on the top menu bar at t etop of the page.

Give it a go. I shall return some to you tomorrow as there is a limit on how much you can give out in 24 hours! <ok>

It would have been easier to say... 'don't worry about understanding it just start random repping'..... :)

Alas I'm not catholic.. So don't do confession..

What you saying brucey? You not appreciative of my dig at priests?? I'm pretty sure god didn't tell all those Irish priests to fiddle with kids.. Am also sure fiddling with kids isn't a form of retribution for naughty kids either.. That said I've never read the bible so wouldn't know..
