dont know what the author of that nonsense is smoking, but you can bet your house on it that you cant buy those ***s at Tesco
Manchester United would sign Luis Suarez in a heartbeat if they thought he would make a difference between winning the Premier League and finishing second. Bad sportsmanship, racism, biting, handballing.... whatever.... they wouldn't give a toss. They'd buy him and the fans would hail every goal. If his goals helped win the league, Luis Suarez duvet covers would make their way from the Old Trafford Superstore into Christmas Stockings all over the Home Counties come December.
United would keep him until another option came along that looked a better bet for more trophies and then Luis would wind up like every other United reject that has found himself being treated like a dog that has outlived his owner's affection. But while it lasts, the club will take the trophies and the player will make a shedload of money. Everybody wins.
United fans know it, fans of every other club know it, and Luis Suarez's agent knows it.
Never say never.

I can see what you're saying but ironically, the argument you make it's probably the least effective one. United are more likely to get shot of players that pose a deliberate cause for concern or are more hassle than they're worth. Pogba and Morrison are just two recent examples of that. Rightly or wrongly, even if that means cutting off their nose to spite their face, there's a club ethos that there are plenty of other fish in the sea. For that reason I don't see us signing Suarez, although neither of us can prove it one way or the other bcos the story is complete bollox anyway.

There is no way our board would sanction any sort of deal for Suarez, even if he was available for 50p the board would never sign him.
It is not so much the biting that makes me hate Suarez, it's the racist abuse he gave Evra.
Liverpool as a football club should have been given a serious punishment for openly supporting the guy, wearing Suarez T Shirts, in support of racist behaviour.
They say the neutrals where supporting Liverpool last year, why would any neutrals want to support a club that openly supports racist behaviour![]()
That incident put a huge and permanent dent in Dalglish's reputation. He was considered a brilliant footballer but a bit of a grumpy sod. He'll now always be considered as a brilliant footballer but a complete tool.

Reality heck, you could afford one of them, but would struggle with FFP over wages over the length of a contract.I can see what you're saying but ironically, the argument you make it's probably the least effective one. If you can't see how Cantona and Suarez are different there's no hope for you.
Indeed, Cantona was less racist, but more likely to flying kick you in the face if you looked at him funny![]()
He hadn't done that prior to signing for us though had he?
Nor had he even bitten anyone, let alone three times.
Re: your last line, I couldn't agree more, but it does make for an interesting discussion on footballing ethics...... or the lack of them.
One name: Eric Cantona
Yes, it is true that Manchester United do have a reputation to protect, but I never fail to be amused when a manager.... at any club, anywhere, takes on a bad boy and talks about "helping him to overcome his past and focusing on his amazing skills" (their words, not mine). With Cantona it worked out brilliantly, but the risk at the time of signing him.... the risk.... the risk....
Would Manchester United do such a thing? Sadly (and believe me, I do mean 'sadly') I think that every club has its price and it may not necessarily be Suarez in the future but some other enfant terrible (remember Cantona's reputation...???). If United go two or three more seasons without a trophy........

I know, because we'll never sign the bloke so it's all irrelevant.
I can tell you hand on heart if he did sign for United I would not support him as an individual.
He's a top player and he'd no doubt be a success but I genuinely, truly, can't stand him to a point that I would not be able to celebrate any success he has with us.
I was at that point with him, I just wanted him gone regardless of what he brought as a footballer. Personally I wouldn't want him back but I'm in a minority there.

You sure are, I want to be entertained and he certainly did that.
People pretending they have morals and applying that same fake moral code to the clubs they support is
People are so fake, eh Chief?
Football is pure panto, and Suarez is the ideal panto villain.
