I am one of those guys that leaves judging people to ACTUAL judges and gossiping old grannies, and just likes to watch football.
Then you would be a robot, humans judge everything all of the time. You make judgements on everything constantly, including people, all based on your own disposition and experience\culture. Almost all of them are instant judgements too.
Maybe....internally...however I don't feel the need to vocalise it amongst strangers on an internet forum in order to validate my own opinions!
And if that football includes players racially abusing and biting each other, that's ok? You mentioned Ched Evans earlier, I'm guessing you think he should be allowed back to play? If I'm wrong in that guess then I apologise but that does seem to be your slant on things. Just interested is all as he and his case has not been discussed on here.
Maybe not, but again, bitching about it on a forum is going to achieve what exactly? If you feel that harshly about it, volunteer for the Kick it out campaign, or get a job with the FA or something.....Do something other than whine on Not606.
I do notice as debates unfold on football forums you can end up a million miles away from why you began posting My original point was that I watch football to be entertained with good football for the 90 mins and the stupidity of people trying to differentiate between respective spoiled football stars and their antics. As long as a footballer is not a rapist wife beater or murderer ect.. then I don't care. I do care that the **** performs and plays good football.
I've not contradicted myself at all. I've just given you a dose of reality by separating football from pious moralising about a players private life and it's sunk your argument like a torpedo Suarez character on the pitch (plus his racial abuse) is all I'm judging him on.
Maybe, but you do make these judgements so the point is valid nonetheless. As for validation from other forum members, I think the known history of Sisu on Not606 is not one of seeking validation, agreement with me on most matters is not the norm
Ah look Tobes when you resort to that "hey everyone look at memememememememememe" sort of thing, I just take a step back and scratch my head. I have my opinion and you have yours, but you appoint yourself Grand nagus and vote you win every time. it's like the prosecution or defence also being the judge in a court case I have learned over time on here that you will twist turn and shed your skin if need be in an attempt to prove you are right, when there is no proving it, except in your head, I still log out haivng a different opinion, they're like arseholes you know
I'm not whining though, I merely stated I wouldn't want Suarez at United nor would I expect the club to buy him but this was suggested as being anything from false for saying that, lying, being told I would be cheering him once he scored his first goal etc. etc. etc. The only fact, before anyone who doesn't know me at all wants to decide how I would react, is that I would not want a horrible **** like Suarez playing for Manchester United. Again, end of. If I'm not permitted to state that opinion you mind letting me know what these forums are for exactly?
Posting stuff and seeking agreement is seeking validation, attention seeking is what I have been accused of, posting stuff where I know there will be a reaction, validation seeks the positive, attention seeking will accept positives or negatives it matters not which one as long as there is a reaction.
I was wondering where I heard that term, I was not sure, thought it was the KKK or something, thanks mate
That's fair enough Chief Some people have principles and integrity But we both know that you are the exeption, the masses generally do forget once the goals start flying in. Arsenal fans were an example of that when they thought they were signing Suarez. They softened their opinions on him big time
Whilst not wishing to change your mind, the entire point of a discussion forum is that you put your opinion out there and others either concur or dismantle it. Your view in this case is based on a comparison that is comletely irrelevant to the reason the man in question is viewed as he is. You've had this pointed out to you using simple logic and yet you still plough on and then when all else fails attempt to divert and then attack (as you've done in that post) By all means log out and maintain your incorrect opinion mate, be my guest
What do I know, I aint the forum police, people can write what they want I guess. I am just being a grumpy sod, and wanting more football talk and less Loose Women, bitchy, my players isn't as bigger a **** as your player, my owner is more moralistic than yours, talk.
Incorrect according to you Tobes. Unfortunately your disapproval doesn't quite meet the requirements needed for me to change my mind. Put forward a logical argument my brain can process, that might be a good start. Your logic is maleable. You can bend it shape it any way you want to as long as you are right... it's alright
I do tend to aim to reach a logical conclusion that's the correct one, pardon me using a rational thought process in a maleable way in order to reach it Given your love of the illogical and downright mental, I'm not overly surprised that you find applied logic such a black art
