It's his bloody grandma man. He'll be absolutely devastated. Family are allowed to disagree and make choices that others wouldn't agree with. What plays out in public isn't the full story and she will want him there. It's her grandson.
Maybe he should have treat her like a Grandma this last few years then. Instead of letting his poisoned wife take a pop at her and the Royal Institution at any given opportunity. He’s a dick and there is good reason why his own brother can’t be arsed with him either.

Jesus. Imagine if someone tried to stop you visiting your dying grandma cause you'd had an argument?! You're mentally not all there pal. Put down the red tops and sharpen up.
An argument !! Dear me if you class what him and his tart have done to our Queen this past few years as an argument then your soft in the head

Hmm, Harry/Megan get slaughtered by the racist Daily Heil everyday, I am not sure being a echo chamber for the mail is good.

Although I do admit they act like a pair of self-opinionated plonkers. But she is his granny (possibility)
There is an awful lot more outlets than the Mail that disagree with the 2 selfish arseholes. The Queen done nothing to warrant what them 2 pricks done

I’m starting to think that maybe Our Queen has already passed and the gathering of the family is for Royal Protocol. I really hope I’m wrong.

I thought that too, especially given there’s so much concern but appears no plan to take her to hospital. I think all family members would be informed before any official news of her passing is released. Whatever is going on it certainly appears that her time has come and it’s a sad time for the whole country

I don't often watch the news anymore, but it felt like something that I should watch - I lasted 20 minutes. The bbc have a picture taken of the princes in a Range Rover moving at speed into Balmoral and are looking at the faces of Andrew and Edward and asking "what can we read into that?". "It's a very powerful picture".

Is it respectful to put peoples lives under a microscope at such an awful time? I know they're royal and it's to be expected, but we don't need to speculate or analyse everything. Just report official information when it's received.

I've never been a royalist however over her reign she has had plenty to deal with , I won't claim she has always gotten it right but I do believe she did it to the best of her ability, she never wanted to be Queen but I think she has done it as she thought right.
She's the only monarch in my lifetime and I don't think the royal family will be held in such high regard as it has for generations before.
It will be a sad time when she passes and don't think the royal family will be looked at the same, especially not with the big eared adulterous bafoon as our King with horse face by his side

Unless they've hoyed their black on incase her death is announced live on air. Save them changing to black later?
mate before they can get on air they must have been informed, none of the old dears being interviewed would dare being seen without full makeup and hair done professionally, before they would go in front of the cameras for the nation to see them

Me too. I am not of the belief that, as individuals, they are beyond reproach; they are only human. But, as an institution, I think that constitutional monarchy is the most sensible, and most civilised method of selecting a ceremonial head of state.

Objectively, I believe the Queen has done a magnificent job during her reign, acting as a figurehead for the country, developing and modernising the role during quickly changing times while retaining the traditions, and acting as one of the key elements in British diplomacy. A lot of the things she has been asked to do forced her, as a naturally reserved and shy person, out of her comfort zone but she always appears to have acted with dignity and to have been very personable. Despite what some people would say, the role is a demanding one in many ways and to still be doing it after 70 years is amazing. I hope her reign continues for as long as possible.
Of course I respect the humans involved but I think the concept is bizarre and also some of their actions have been sickening. While there’s a shortage of ambulances and money to pay heating the royal family pop up and pay to shut down a case of sexual exploitation against a family member. Let’s be honest if Diana was your daughter and a flash rich bloke piss ugly with big lugs in his thirties started dating your teenage daughter you’d rip his head off. It’s a bit sick all of it and inherited privilege like this is plain wrong. They need to be accountable to the country. Their land - and include the likes of the Duke of Westminster in this, the ground rent billionaire - needs to benefit us all and offset the expenses of those less lucky. The pomp and tradition and fantasy needs to stop now. It’s time to change. Sad for Elizabeth, sad for the family but other strangers have been dying from service cuts and the wider royal immoral wealth could alleviate a lot of it if we weren’t such compliant fools.

I've heard (nothing absolutely reliable at all that she may have passed). I will not believe this until it is formally announced, as someone said, from the prime minister. This is a very sad day. Either way looks like the beginning of the end.

This is not the time or the place to spout your rabid political prejudices, have some decorum and put your bile on the thread designed for it. If you have nothing nice to contribute leave the thread to the people who want to pay respects

As I said I respect the humans involved.

Perhaps all golf clubs will be required to hold a 'medal' to honour her on the day of the funeral?

Too soon?
