Don't listen to Hancock, don't believe Ancient Aliens. The truth is stranger than any of their fictions. Ancient people were more sophisticated, more intelligent, more complex than people give them credit for. The way they lived their lives was just different and they were prepared to spend long periods building these things. They were more than capable of building all of these monuments.

All of the atlantean, Ancient aliens, Graham Hancock stuff is rooted in 18th/19th C racial theories that non-Europeans were not intellectually capable of building anything other than simple structures. Which is obviously bollocks.

Planet X is fact, it orbits around space with the inhabitants landing on selected planets as it passes slowly by, they bring down thier technology to build 'holding beams' to keep them around until they take all the resources they need, they have to encourage each planets inhabitants that they are there to help, which is how they get the help they need to build these 'holding beams'...then they help themselves to the resources which are actually the inhabitants.

so, we have the way these structures were built (massive labour force and advanced technology) plus the real reason these ancient civilisations suddenly died out, almost completely and along with thier removal, the beams were no longer needed and once they fell into disrepair it caused the changes in the areas they were built (it is now known the land in egypt was once a thriving oasis).

I'll deal with the cardinal points.

The sun rise and sun set will give you East and West. North would come from the Pole Star, Polaris, which would appear to be the only star that didn't move across the sky. South could simply be taken as the direct opposite of the Polaris or, more likely, it would be the direction when the sun was at its highest above the horizon.

Egyptian rope stretchers used a ring of cord knotted at 3, 7 & 12 cubits from the origin to form a 3-4-5, right angled triangle thus giving them a 90⁰ line and that squares up the cardinal angles on the compas card and pointing North at Polaris would give perfect alignment of the other cardinal directions.

The actual raising of the blocks could have been done using sand or mud ramps that were constructed as needed then demolished. This method works best for building a pyramid (as more height is constructed, the building's slope allows for the ramp to be advanced) or a climbing scaffold ramp, but I'm not sure they would have had sufficient timber.

Experts seem pretty sure the blocks were floated down the Nile, supported by the recent find of an ancient Nile channel that ran very close to the great pyramid.

Re Giants, I do wonder whether at some point in our past there was a branch in our family tree of bigger stronger folk. We know that Gigantipithicus (sp) was real - 10 foot tall apes. I tend to think there is something in the Yeti stories (and even David Attenborough has suggested he could believe it).

Could be ancestral stories of something like Gigantopithecus. Or perhaps a small surviving community of them. Perhaps more likely it's H. sapiens neanderthalensis. Very close relationships between us and them. There must be an origin to it. I think any of those are reasonable theories.

Thankyou for posting mate. Things like this really blow my mind. How on earth were they able to lift such heavy stones back then, carry them up a height and line them up perfectly to make the pyramids. Also the fact they are aligned perfectly with the stars?

They are now saying they flooded the vally to get the stones to the levels they needed to to build the pyramids. Truth is we'll never know how or why as it is all lost to time. The new Planet of the apes film has a scene where there's 2 apes in a "refuge centre built to protect the humans", that's the apes theory, but basically admits they don't really know why place they're in was built...... they're in a shopping mall. But because no one is around to tell them what it is, or for, they had to guess.... bit like us.

And how did they put the ones on top? Build a hill around the outside and then just pull them up.

Re Aliens coming here. One thing that makes me wonder. If they have the ability to get here then they must be way more technically advanced than we are. A famous abudction case is that of Betty Hill. Afterwards she was put under deep hypnosis because she had no idea what had happened. The alien abduction story came out. In that abduction she had been shown a star map of where these aliens came from. She sketched that and it was deemed to be Zeta Reticuli. It so happens that is a star of intrigue to astronomers as it is though to have the make up similiar to our own planet and orbits a sun.

Now if we were to send our space ship voyager to Zeta Reticuli it would take 55,000 years to get there! So how much more advanced are these Aliens if they are able to travel to us? It blows my mind to think about it. Then if they are smart enough to have the tech to do it, when they got here what would they think? Could we even communicate? I doubt we could to be honest. Surely it would be like to entirely different species trying to communicate.

I believe in Aliens. The big bang was over 13 billion years ago and space is growing all the time. It would be implausible to assume we are the only lifeforms. The real challenge, imo, is imagining any aliens able to travel to meet us, due to the sheer distances involved. It is mega hard to imagine it. So I am not so convinced by the ancient aliens thing.

Ants can lift 10-50x their body weight so there would have been no need for machinery. Mystery solved

I'd love to believe the prospect of Alien's visiting or have visited earth....I have a few little issues tho.

1. For all the sightings why has no concrete evidence been brought forward. These "alien spaceships" seem to appear in the middle of no-where and no-one has ever caught a crystal clear photo of a craft and give the tech we have these days, its a bit difficult to understand. I love one to land, hover over etc the middle of a city centre where its beyond question.

2. As for the Pyramids.. If these aliens are so advanced....and lets face it, they must be to get here in the first place. Then why would they build a huge structure out of rock with zero signs of any technology that they must has possessed showing up.

All that said, I agree with your premise that its implausible we are the only ones in the universe and indeed beyond... we just need more than some nutter coming out of pub saying he was abducted and penetrated by ET to make it believable

Years ago I went to a Patrick Moore lecture. It was mind boggling to listen to the numbers and maths associated with space. He absolutely believed in Alien life, based on the sheer magnitude of space and the stars and planets within it. He didnt think it would be much like us though.

About 10 years ago he wrote in a book that he thought within 50 years we would have proven that planets existed that had all the elements necessary to support life. Being able to prove it exists for us, because of our own limitations in our understanding, is the problem.

A few things baffled me when I used to think about it, so I stopped thinking about it
If they are so intelligent and can travel 50,000,000miles to get here and can build pyramids, why do they write with a chisel and a hammer. If they were wiped out suddenly or decided to suddenly go home, why are there no pyramids partly constructed with all their tools lying around them. The maths for the giant theory just doesn’t make any sense.
