New rule coming in next season regarding away fans...

At least 1 block of away support will have to be pitch side. So anyone going to Newcastle next year won't have to sit up in the gods.

Sunderland have just turned down a £27 million pound sponsorship deal from a leading dog food brand. A club spokesman has said having WINALOT written across their shirts is just taking the piss.

i do hope this is the year for Sunderland. Being **** for 80% of the season to then just go on a ridiculous run at the end is getting old. Plus I am also bored of loads of people getting Saints and Sunderland confused because we both play in red and white stripes

I concur. They offer nothing to the league, plenty of teams in the Championship who would make a better fist of it given half the chance.

Hardly fair when Saints did enough of that relegation avoidance game back in the 90's, which significant supporters wax on about as such a great time.
The red & white stripe confusion is a bit annoying, I grant you. If only we could be confused with PSV Eindhoven once in a while. That would make a change.

Better than 6 years ago when people confused us with brentford

Whoever we pick for this game, please, please, please do not allow Couthino to cut in on to his right foot and get a free shot away.
Sturridge is fragile, so can someone "accidentally" break him, before he scores.
And can the crowd please not bait the exiles, as it seems to help them more often than not.
Oh, and if there is an early incident, whereby we should receive a penalty, please give it, Clatts. But if it's at the other end, turn a blind eye, there's a good lad. <whistle>
