Do we still have performance bonuses on Lallana, Lovren and Virgil if Liverpool win the title?

---------------------------

Mane & Virgil as far as I can make out. Its a fair bit though, 4.5M from Mane's deal and hopefully similar from Vvd. Feel a bit dirty now! <laugh>

Saints can help themselves by trying to reach 40+. Looking at the PL today, it begs the question how West Ham went down on 42? It must have been a very different PL with the teams no so polarised as they are now.

Even though 'they' say the 40 point mark is no longer relevant due to the emergence of 'the top six' (hoovering up the points). The 40 point survival has been an outlier during PL history, only been breached 3 times (40 BW, 40 SAFC ,42 WH) in the 23 seasons since the league was reduced to 20 teams.

No reason we can`t take points off them. We can play with no fear - they have to win. I take it Ings can`t play ?

Correct he can't play, can see Charlie starting this one.....Shane is still injured I belive, and Sam didn't play well when he came on Saturday so he should be on the bench.

There might be a case for playing Sims with Redmond, as we might be dependent on catching them on the break, as Spurs did when Sissoko blazed over the bar, yesterday.
I want Armstrong to start, but his defensive play is really poor, and I think Valery and Bertrand will need strong covering ahead of them.

If you listen to the Podcast, Adam Leitch suggests this. Without Danny, we don’t have a striker who is going to get much joy out of Liverpool’s defence, but with Robinson and TAA likely to be spending long periods in our half, pace on the counter will be paramount. If Shane Long is fit, he would at least be able to run in behind a lot and create space for others, but if not, let’s play Redmond up front, with Sims, Armstrong, and JWP behind him, and PEH and Romeu in the middle. Stick to 4 at the back, as we may as well go for it in this game, we have absolutely nothing to lose.

Even if we are, it will only be a couple of mil.

A win against Liverpool should be worth at least one better league place imo so we don't really lose out.
Well exactly. Any points from any source are vital at the moment, and doubly doing Liverpool down by beating them and knocking their title hopes on the head are well worth a couple of million.
