Just looking at the points difference between Chelsea and Wolves, the bottom half of the PL starts at the team in 7th. In terms of ability the gap between Burnley and Wolves is not great, but it is quite considerable between Wolves and an indifferent Chelsea. Could the gap be as wide as 20 come the end of the seaon? That would be insane.

The Relegation Battle:
Cardiff:
City (A)
Burnley (A)
Brighton (A)
Liverpool (H)
Fulham (A)
Palace (H)
Utd (A)

My predicted additional points: 3 (FWIW 3 draws)

Burnley:
B'mth (A)
Cardiff (H)
Chelsea (A)
City (H)
Everton (A)
Arsenal (H)

My predicted additional points: 4

Amazing that I have sympathy for Cardiff today. Chelsea are such a detestable football club. The players are not happy, they want rid of Sarri, so they down tools. We've seen it all before, a few times. The ref has let that club off the hook today, but it takes nothing away from the shame. What a bunch of selfish cowards. Probably don't give a damn because most are looking for the exit. Jose should go back, that is surely is a match made in football haven.

down tools? The chelsea team just won. They could have easily lost if they were downing tools

I stand by my comments 100%.
Got 3 points, but that was shocking from top to bottom. Selection, attitude, effort, everything.
Had there been a real ref, that get of of jail card would have stayed at the bottom of the deck.

My first choice would still be Brighton or Burnley to go down, but Cardiff being cut adrift at least would make for a more relaxed last few weeks of the season

Don't want Brighton to go down, cos I still haven't made it to their new ground yet, and I'd like to visit it with us both in the PL. Yes, I really am that shallow.

Burnley would not be missed.

or they could have just deliberately lost the game to show they were downing tools <laugh>

Cardiff only have two home games left? They’re ****ed then. Can’t see them beating Burnley at Turf Moor either.

Might beat Fulham at the Cottage I suppose
