I mentioned this a couple of seasons ago to a group of mates who all supported different teams. The general response was that none of them associated it specifically with Saints, was like a "come on you Reds" or "By far the greatest team" type song that everyone sings
 
It won't happen, because there was contact by Dummett (but certainly not enough to make Salah go down like he did though!), but just imagine the reaction in Liverpool if Salah got a retrospective two match ban for diving - and thus missed the matches against Arsenal and City!

Until recently I’d only heard Spurs sing it and try and make it their song. It’s easy to make it fit to most teams, but it’s our song. Probably shouldn’t, but it pisses me off when other teams sing it.

Dummet clearly did a Spock-like nerve pinch on Salah, and temporarily paralysed him.

If that penalty was given against rather than for Liverpool, much more would have been made of that embarrassing dive. If diving is to be stamped out of the game, there should be a retrospective ban imo.

Perhaps they don’t realise that the song is when the Saints.
People will always change the “lywics”.
Perhaps we should sing Cwying. You can’t change the lywics then.

His record against the celebrated managers of the top six isn't bad, but neither is it much to crow about: 4 wins and 5 draws in 26, good for 13 points.

Put another way, opponents of top six sides take an average of .71 points per match during the past two and a half years; Puel's sides have taken .50. Top six sides score an average of 2.1 points; against Puel, 2.2. However you slice it, he's been pretty average overall against top-quality opposition...he has just happened to get of those four in a row when they were badly needed (lose both and the scuttlebutt was that he was on the chopping block), as prior to that his record against top managers was actually pretty abysmal given that he's been managing pretty good sides.

Puel's personality is his drawback. If Hasslehuttl did slightly less well than Puel, we'd still rather have Ralph. Puel has to do much better than other managers to overcome the fact that he is boring. Sad but true.

Liver failure is considered fun compared to listening to Claude Puel. If I was all alone at Xmas, no friends , no family and he came on the radio or TV , I reckon the sound of his voice would probably tip me over the edge tbh.

Yeah Derby, Liverpool, Stoke just off the top of my head. It's not just 'our' song though we probably have more right to it than anyone else.

Actually, I'm talking about over the years, including European competition during his tenure with other clubs, such as in France. Not this current bunch especially.
