However you slice it, he's been pretty average overall against top-quality opposition...he has just happened to get of those four in a row when they were badly needed (lose both and the scuttlebutt was that he was on the chopping block), as prior to that his record against top managers was actually pretty abysmal given that he's been managing pretty good sides.
