They’ll improve instantly, end up seventh. Jose will say it’s actually his greatest achievement. People will leave, he’ll get no money, he’ll lose the dressing room after refusing to ever play Kane ahead of Lamela. He’ll leave. Meanwhile Poch will take United perpetually to third place.
Thought they were pretty good when they got out of a group with Barca and Inter, and beat Dortmund, City and Ajax en route to the CL finals lo those many six months ago. The only good part about Spurs hiring Mourinho is that the dynamic between Jose and Levy will be hysterically funny.
That did paper over the cracks a lot though, espescially in the second half of the season. They've been dire since about February and I think have 25 points from last 24 games which probably isn't too dissimilar to us. Obviously he did a brilliant job there overall but he didn't look like turning this rot around, though it wasn't really his fault as such. His head has been gone since the final whistle in Madrid really, if not before then.
It will be really fun to see how Jose gets on there. If feels like a toss of a coin whether he makes them them amazing or completely ****e. I think Pochettino is one of the best coaches in the game, and they will regret it, personally. (Dressing room bust ups etc. aside) I remember Klopp went through a similar run of form at Dortmund, weren't they in the relegation zone? Turns out hes not a bad manager...
Yeah I'm intrigued to see how Mourinho does there too. Think he'll do pretty well in the short term at least, he'll get them defending properly and won't struggle for goals with Kane. Would fancy them to finisher higher than United and Arsenal it neither of them changed managers. Agree on Poch too, it's felt for years that United will be his next club and they should be a good fit for him too. Bayern wouldn't surprise me either. Make or break for him as an elite manager in his next job you feel though, wherever it is.
Yep, honestly believe that, I posted somewhere on here that I though Poch would be utd boss by end of October. A little out but OGS should be a bit worried. He needs max points from his next 2 fixtures away to Sheffield Utd and home to villa or else poch could be utd manager when they play spurs on 4 December.
By the end of January Poch and Kane will both be at man u. Mourinho will need money from somewhere and selling Kane should do it.
That last 20 minutes has probably saved Pellegrini his job. For now. 2-3 could easily have been 0-5 instead.
Yeah I was one who thought they'd be pushing the top 6... not my finest moment Think they'll improve when Fabianski is fit again though.
They aren't this bad, but they still can't defend. The very definition of an entertaining mid-table side, I'd expect.
