Indeed. Like I say, it'll be our fault if we go down from here. I'm not saying that Cardiff can't survive, nor that football always turns out how it looks on paper. But the fact is we're going into these final eight games with a two point head start (and a vastly superior GD) - and I don't think many people can argue against Cardiff having a harder run-in than us. Burnley also some have very tough games left - although unlike Cardiff, Burnley's are very much bunched together. They've got four consecutive quite winnable games after today, which I could see them securing safety from. But if they don't, and they instead need something from their last four...
****, i'm torn in this one...listening to Scousers crying after the match would be so good but keeping Burnley below us is also important.
I still want Liverpool to win, because although I don't want them to win the PL, Saints come first. That said, I'm finding it amusing hearing things like 'Referee mistakes to cost Liverpool the PL?' considering all the penalties they've been given for diving etc this season...
People assuming we are safe need to look at our last six fixtures & the goal scorers. I consider us very fortunate that some players have stepped up, but will not be taking it for granted. We are a piece of bad luck from the dreaded line, and just who the hell would bet against that! Come on Liverpool!
Probably rthe best result would be a narrow Liverpool win, but a large number of injuries to players on both sides, so neither club can pick their best XI for their remaining fixtures. Is it over top to have 22 clay models and lots of pins?
