https://www.skysports.com/football/...who-will-maintain-their-premier-league-status Analysis (without conclusion) of teams in danger of relegation. The worrying (and annoying) feature about us is that only Huddersfield are worse against teams in the bottom eight.
Shamefully bad. And a big part of the reason why we are where we are. The most annoying thing, particularly with the 6 points that we donated to Cardiff is that we were not outplayed in either game, and you could easily argue that we should have won both games...and yet we contrived to lose both. Had we even just drawn both games our position right now wouldn't look half as bleak.
https://talksport.com/football/4970...ubs-highest-earning-player-per-minute-played/ For those with time to kill, list of players for each PL team who have earned the most per minute played. Surprisingly the Saints player is Sam Gallagher earning 40K per week and only 8 minutes played. Presumably they ignore players like Fraser who hasn't played at all.
Was part of our master plan to have every one in the first team squad on a similar wage. Top earners around 70/80k iirc and the bottom ones around £40k. Means our wage bill is high but we don't pay the star players anywhere near enough to convince them to stay, and the players we want rid of don't want to take a pay cut to leave. Genius
This is legacy stuff we are dealing with though Os. It may be that we run it better going forward, which I believe will/is happening.
I hope everyone has lit their candle & readied their silence. Cardiff are playing, lets wish them luck.
