I particularly like how it's apparently important to protect the PL's future. He's basically been paid a bonus to stay on in a consultancy role rather than go elsewhere.

How about we focus on our own future first eh? We'll be needing that quarter of million if we go down...
So now we’re going to pay him £1.67M / year for the next 3 years for doing virtually nothing ie sitting on his arse but not plying his “trade” somewhere else which might “hurt” the PL. unbelievable really. Wonder if he’s got a bonus written in as well. Wonder if the PL continue to pay into his pittance pension? <doh>

List of banning orders last season in the Premier League.
13 Saints fans were banned.
Lucky buggers.

Lower mid table finish. I'm sure the boys are capable of some better performances but on the whole, not bad.

Bit surprised that Newcastle are at the top although the continuing run-in with Ashley probably explains that. Not surprised about West Ham though, bunch of thugs.

Not sure why you're surprised at Newcastle, they always top these lists. Doesn't say much though going by banning orders imo.

Yeah I'd always thought it too but they always seem to be near the top so must be something in it you'd imagine.

Like I say i don't think using banning orders is too accurate anyway and I'm not a fan of how they are used.

Newcastle have a huge fanbase so statistically they are likely to have more idiots than most clubs so it doesn't surprise me they're at the top.

@fatletiss did Saints reply to you? This is apparently what a SW poster got back:

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

The decision around payments to Mr Scudamore over the next three years has been made by the Premier League Audit and Remuneration Committee and the Non-Executive Directors. As per the statement made by the Premier League the payments are in consideration of the following:

It was vital that a comprehensive set of non-compete clauses were extended, to ensure the best possible protection for the future of the Premier League.

It was agreed that it is crucial for the League’s ongoing success that Richard’s unique knowledge and experience remain available in an advisory capacity.

The payments are in recognition of the outstanding work Richard has carried out over the last 19 years.

We will not be adding anything further to this statement."

I got a copy and paste reply to this. Exactly the same. The last sentence pisses me off.

wasn't long ago I would shout GOAL!!! followed by RICKIEEEE!!! and Mrs. Serbia would think hmmmm new shoes? now I mumble goal .... she says who for? I say who do you think? and she wonders if those boots will last another winter

Just saw the motd highlights.
Citeh, before yesterday’s game, had scored 18 goals, in two seasons against West Ham. Now another four to be added. :emoticon-0104-surpr:emoticon-0104-surpr
