That's the sensible choice....therein may lie the problem.

Hopefully the board realise the last 2 appointments were mistakes, and they swiftly offer MH the job otherwise it will a long summer with players uncertain on their own futures who would stay if MH is in charge.......otherwise we appoint an unknown again and some players will make for the exit.

Why!

The manager doesn’t pick players, the club does. We don’t need a manager in to do this

Er, yeah. We have been mismanaged for two seasons. Can you blame the better players wanting out if another unknown comes in. Why should they stay for the experiment.

Because they are contracted to stay (yep, I know the story) but also who says it will be an experiment?

I’m sure they layers know more about other managers that we likely do.

They seem happy with Mark. We have seen a few of them put in shifts that we have not witnessed all season. You really want to risk an experimental Claude/Maurice situation for the third year running? Frankly, I'm tired of trying to find the next great, lets just settle for competent.

That all makes perfect sense, apart from the bit where we throw in my irrational fan behaviour. I really like Poch but I really dislike Spuds. I hope for the day he leaves Spuds for better things, preferably when he’s doing well there, to p1ss them off :)

What is it with this dislike of Spurs? I just do not get it. Chelsea and their racist elements, their alliance with Rangers, their arrogance, their pathetic humour in their chanting is far more dislikable-. We should have "a love Spurs" hour on this board.

1. Martin Chivers
2. Gareth Bale
3. Mauricio Pochettino
4. They’re not Southampton.

If you are using this as a criteria, then we can add Manchester United regarding Shaw, Schneiderlin, Danny Wallace and having heaps of so-called fans in the Hampshire. Let´s mention Liverpool who have 5/6 ex-Southampton in their squad. Let´s not forget Everton as well re Koeman. There are far too many on this board who jump on the bandwagon of disliking Spurs. At least their fans are not racist, unlike Chelsea´s and West Ham´s.

I don’t like any of those teams you mention either. The difference between us is that you’re a Tottenham fan who also likes Saints, whereas I’m a Saints fan, full stop.

I am suing you for libel!!!! ..... The actual truth is that I am one of the few fans who supports both Southampton and Portsmouth. As for Spurs, I quite like them, and as they are a club that is not funded by a sugar daddy, nor are they a club followed by huge swathes of plastics, I would rather they win the PL than any other team, apart from our Solent teams.
