Grinding points against Spurs takes the pressure off the must wins. Makes sense to me, and I bet the Swans fans are happy tonight.
I agree....losing has a bad effect on confidence (look at us after Watford). Sometimes you just have to grid out a result. No team has to play to suit the opposition...we should have beaten Swansea, but I didn't blame them for being negative. These points count.

I was struck by the similar (nasty) comments directed at Burnley and Swansea yesterday. Now don't get me wrong I love attacking footy, and, as a mean git, want to be entertained. But defence is part of the game and teams with less resources (or money as we know it) will need to park the bus on occasion. After all surviving in the £ rich Prem is the first target.

The arrogance of statements like "what a pointless club" confirms my jaded opinion of some 'big' team fans. They all need a season in L1 if you ask me.

Right, just need to make my mind up if it'll be more amusing if Everton or WHU finish the day in the bottom three, difficult one.

Talking on Sky about Huddersfield being denied a goal (a very close off side) due to the yellow boots of the Hudds player. His heel showed up clearly to the linesman, but wouldn't have done if his boots had been darker. Harsh decision. I have always thought this about shirts as well...light coloured shirts show up more clearly....glad we have a camouflage away shirt. :)

That's goal of the season done then. Valencia, wow.

Looking forward to watching Cuco today.

I saw the Utd teamsheet first. Young at LB immediately jumped out at me, as no doubt it did for Everton fans to.

Sadly for those Everton fans, that was very quickly more than offset by discovering that Martina would be the opposing wing back. From being a liability in this strong looking Utd team, Young has become yet another threat. All because of Martina's existence on the pitch.

In fairness to Cuco, he actually is looking alright in this more advanced position.

I always had a soft spot for Cuco (that goal?). He mostly put a shift in if not the best defender on the pitch. But you do wonder when Everton's best player so far is a free, after being released by a club with supposedly less ambition than you.
