Nice to see. I thought I’d seen something saying he was out for the seasons. They are without their two 100m+ centre midfielders. Guess that’s the problem with spending that much

Incidentally there was a shocking missed opportunity y Jackson when he was clean through that appeared to reveal that he can only really shoot with 1 foot. Not what you want for the fee they paid. Or even what we and Bournemouth were rumoured to be prepared to pay

From the referee's angle it looked like he followed through on Smith when it fact replays showed Smith actually stood on Boly. It was a bad decision, but when I first watched it live I understood why the ref thought it was a second yellow. Certainly not extreme incompetence thinking that was a yellow card in real time. VAR really should be allowed to intervene there.

And not one person has mentioned Smith rolling around clutching his ankle when only the sole of his foot was touched. That should be a retrospective suspension.
 
I think it is amusing to look back at your pre-season projections and see how they are doing. It was surprising seeing JWP up his game so much at West Ham and now looking like the player he had always threatened to be . His form is back where it was when he was playing well for Saints. I may have got that prediction very wrong yet it is amusing to see Bournemouth climbing up the table with a number of convincing performances when so many on here expected Iraola to take them down. Instead, Bournemouth now look to be on another level and pushing their way into the top half of the table.

My other prediction about Eddie Howe also seems to be coming true. Not sure how ling he will have before he gets the push. I think Newcastle will bin him pretty swiftly.

It is a shame than Rueben Selles is doing his best to ensure that this will never happen. I can no longer see Reading returinng to the Championship to effect this.

Can I change my prediction and now suggest Nathan Jones as a future Reading manager ?
 
I wonder what odds you'd get for Everton qualifying for Europe this season.

Dyche is a f*cking wizard and surely no one can question his coaching ability after how he's transformed Everton this season.


Edit: Aaaaand they lose 3-1. Sorry Everton <laugh>

No team is underperforming their xG as much as Chelsea, and yeah...it really tracks. Nicolas Jackson is somehow going to score 15 goals this year while missing 15 more absolute sitters.
